Very unlucky with both penalty decisions I thought.

We did the same this time last season, we dropped silly points by drawing at home against teams we should have beat before going on a massive winning run.

I can`t see us doing the same at Wembley, but I still expect home form to improve as we go on.

Yesterday we were just unlucky, hitting the woodwork, should have had penalties, keeper played out of his skin etc etc

I'm wondering if we've made a massive booboo with the timing of the stadium change. It feels like we were very much on the verge of a title win last season, and would only have been even more determined this following season, and with the new signings as well to make us better. But now we have Wembley and it's acting as a thorn in our side.

If there was any chance of postponing moving we should have taken it.

I thought we played ok, just needed to be a bit more clinical, plus they defended well and their goal keeper had a blinder.

Not buying into this Wembley curse nonsense.

Curse is a misnomer. There's certainly something about the stadium, whether it be the pitch, or the psychological negative feeling surrounding it, or both, that is affecting our performances somehow. Compared to WHL anyway.

I think this may be the first time Billy has written something that I agree with.

I'm fed up with everyone saying 'hoodoo'. That suggests it's a chance thing, or bad luck. It's nothing of the sort. We're playing on a bigger pitch and it's affecting our ability to press high. This isn't gonna go away as it's a genuine reason to drop points. Until this is addressed or we change the way we play at home, we're going to continue to fail. The league has gone now but we always knew it would this season. Roll on the cups!

What chance was there? You can't put off building of a new stadium for a whole year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know if there was or not. There was talk at one point about it possibly being delayed until 2017-18. Just saying we should have taken it if there was.

The timing is looking massively unfortunate.

Poch fault

It's something we have to get used too as he's shown he'll always put out strange selections from time to time.

He's saying Davies picked up a knock so benched him which is fine but why not play KWP or a back 4 with Verts instead of a attacking forward at LB?

These are the games our bad summer window shows. We needed pace and creativity but got a old target man that we don't cross too.

Poch got it wrong yesterday , should have gone 442.

Aurier
Toby
Sanchez
Verts lb

Son
Dier
Dele
Eriksen

Arry
Llorente.

Subs

Davies why was he on the bench if injured ?
Dembele should have started
Trips
Winks
Vorm
KWP

Sissoko , locked in the shatter.

Dembele should have at least been brought on if not started. He's the sort of player you need against teams who are tough to break down.

This form at Wembley is simply unnacceptable. It says so much abiutnlur mentality that we have won there so infrequently.

I'd also echo who poor Dele has been and IMO should be dropped or at the very least subbed if playing poorly. How he played 90 mins yesterday is a joke.

We never quite seem to kick on or raise it when it REALLY matters. Winning a trophy requires that and we still don't have that mentality. If this squad wins nothing then I believe that will be the biggest fail from our club ever.

I didn't mind Dele staying on because we are trying to score and he does that but taking Son off was stupid.

We had 3 CBs and Dier on the pitch surely 1 of those should've gone off for Llorente

My main beef is not with the Stadium, but with Poch. He is in his third season now, and never seems to learn from his mistakes. WTF was the need to change the team for. Son at full back, surely Poch must have known it was never going to work, from the time he played there before. I don`t get Davies was injured, if he was, why was he on the bench? He then switches Trippier to left back second half, what is Poch thinking? No Dembele, the team was crying out for somebody to run at their central defence. And WTF if you are going to make changes, does he need to play three central defenders against a team, that hardly mustered an attack?

Poch is wearing my patience pretty thin.

Poch is a very good manager in many ways. He has done extremely well in developing the team to be as strong as it is today but he does have a few serious flaws. When things are going well no problem but it has been evident on many occasions that his rotation policy, team selections and changing the game plan when we need to against resilient, stubborn and well organised massed defences has been lacking.

It's so easy to be a brilliant armchair amateur coach, as we all are, but I have always thought that Poch never seems to have a good Plan B when the occasion demands it. Yesterday was a prime example and he should have found a way to beat Swansea.

With regard to the so called Wembley "hoodoo/curse". I wouldn't call it that but there is very little upside for us in playing a whole season there. It will never feel like home, the atmosphere is horrible and the opposition team and fans will be up for the match to a higher degree than normal. Also, as has been alluded to elsewhere, to be playing away from WHL the season after having had our best home season ever is just so Spursey.

posted on 17/9/17

What’s even more spursy is the fact we’ve moved out of WHL when we have the best team and chance to win the title since the 60s, and this comes along and deriails us, we could struggle in first season at the new Lane too, by the time we settle again we may lose some players. Oh well part of being a spurs fan I guess

Think we'll settle straight away tbh

1 season on a similar size pitch will help loads. Then we'll have a big but tight stadium with all the fans thrilled to be back so atmosphere will be great

I have to agree that new WHL will be a different ball-game to Wembley provided you able to fill the ground.

last season poch rotated the team for CL this season for PL is there any significance in this, has he been told from above that he must put greater effort into progressing, going to be difficult, the Dembele situation is really strange because the Dortmund game was too fast got away from him were as Swansea, right up his alley, of course Poch is still learning at our expense, his next move will be to a major European club were he will be a super manager
