It's an extremely weak team lacking guile
We will eat bossed in Mf
Least Ozil ain't playing. Guys a complete liability in big away games although I would have played Elneny instead of Iwobi.
You really do underestimate the class of Alex Iwobi.
You would of lost regardless of any side you put out.

I love Iwobi, that's not really my issue, the midfield two is. I would have started Elneny and Xhaka.

Thanks for your insightful contribution.
There is no creativity in that team whatsoever
Did you say that before the cup final?

Don't doubt his ability I'm just saying maybe Ramsey and Xhaka need mor help in the middle.
Iwobi will play deeper I guess to give an extra option in midfield
Playing Chelsea is nothing about defensive midfielders - it's about Xhaka and Ramsey not wandering out of position at the same time as they did at Anfield.
If everyone does their job this is a team that can do well especially with the cavalry waiting on the bench.

The point being that I can probably count on one hand then number of time Ramsey has been sufficiently disciplined in a match. He is obsessed with scoring and it screws us over frequently.
How unlucky can we be though?
To not have Ozil and Sanchez fit for such a game is horrible.
I had a feeling Wenger would start with a back 4 today Doesn't look like it with that starting lineup
At least he seems to have realised Ozil goes missing in the big games

Wenger hasnt realised anything. Ozil is injured. Didn't even train yesterday. If he was fit he would have started
Ozil is not dropped. He has never been dropped and never will be. He has a muscle injury.
We never have our best team out for The big games
The team is still good enough to get a result without Alexis and Ozil. Our problem is not a lack of ability. The players just need to play like they can and with confidence and not go into their shells like is common in these big away games and we have a good chance of at least a draw.

Lining up without those is something we need to get used to. Neither will be here this time next year
I agree with your comment that Ramsey and Xhaka is weak, but for different reasons. Xhaka is doing a bit more defensively but still does not do enough. Even though we drew he is a defensive liability. Chelsea sat off him when he had possession of the ball today, which made him look better. Xhaka cannot cope with being pressed by the opposition when he has the ball or when they have the ball. They can get past him with ease and several managers have clearly targetted him as a weak point to good effect. even today there were a few times he tried quick passes and got them completely wrong.
Ramsey is being played as an attacking player. If he was meant to be playing deeper he would have been dropped by now, so its fairly clear he isdoing what is being asked of him. To accuse him of negligence is naivety. You see what you want to see and not the reality of the situation.

Good, one is lazy and tackle shy and the other doesn't want to be here. We're not supposed to want players like that at our club.
It will be interesting now to see the excuses given by Gooners for Chelsea being handled by Xhaka and Ramsey (as above). Anything to not state the obvious about why we were defensively decent today. No Ozil. But ooo no, not allowed to say that are we because Ozil passes so great it doesn't matter that he does sweet feck all else.
