Never had end product, £40m wasn't going to change that.
Looking like a good deal for Arsenal
Arsenal mugged them off here
Can't believe we spent so much on a headless chicken who was on the final year of his contract.
Wenger must have spiked Klopp's drink or something.
I always used to wonder how garbage players like the OX and even Welbeck got into the England team and then I realised most England players are garbage and the only good players barely play.
Arsenal haven't lost a game since they sold Chamberlain and Liverpool haven't won since signing him.

Great to see a good debut from Ox.

I don't wish the guy ill and feel sorry he's being laughed at, but he has never been a £40 million player and I really don't know what Liverpool were thinking.
Terrible debut, weird signing for himself and for Liverpool.
But the real loser here is the guy that re-watched the whole game and paused and recorded every clip of Ox getting the ball, for a few likes on FB/Twitter.

They didn't think. A bit like you when you start arguments on this forum

I'm going to ignore you for the benefit of the thread.
If you carry on then I'll just filter you. Grow up.
SAF made this kind of mistake more than once where he considered that pace and direct running alone would be worth signing the player.
As Bellion and the Obertan later would prove, it isn't.

What shock me is that even chelsea e willing to.pay that much for a bang average player
I remember making an article when they signed him, and you had scousers claiming Klopp will turn him into a great player with 'great energy'
I don't think anyone should be shocked the lad has no end product
Not sure who was more stupid. Liverpool for paying up to £35m or Arsenal for offering him £170k pw.

I'd say Liverpool for paying up to £40m and paying him 100k+ a week.

Everton don't seem to have a position for Sigi to play in, certainly not one that will see him hit the stats he did at Swansea.

So you don't think it was ludicrous that Arsenal offered Oxlade-Chamberlain £170k per week for someone with barely a season worth of note and still no end product despite a good 6 years at the club? You don't think that had it not been more Oxlade wanting to move on we'd be lumbered with another deadwood player on mega wages?
Not one game, six years of watching him for Arsenal, England and now for Liverpool has just reinforced my point. He's very average, and he doesn't even know his best position either.
