Falkirk the big surprises ahead of Dunfermline this season

Title favourites before the season started and now the manager is gone

Once the Pars bubble bursts it will be a straight shoot out between Dundee Utd and the mighty St Mirren for the title.

I honestly can't believe what's happened at Falkirk this season. I don't think anyone could have predicted this. There must be something going on behind the scenes.

I don't see the Pars falling away to be honest. They're a good side, they score a lot of goals but as ever the proof will be when they get a few injuries and if they start dropping a bit of form and points.

I think there's still scope for us to improve and I'd imagine St Mirren fans will feel the same.

Didn't make the match on Saturday as I was at a wedding, by all accounts we looked decent middle to front but less confident at the back. Dunfermline are scoring for fun just now so at least the game on Saturday should be fairly open. Interesting you said the CBs looked ok, the guy I go to the match with text that Big Willie had a really poor match and that Durnan bailed him out, he also reckoned that Willie should have won the header for their second. Obviously I wasn't there so can't say either way, just funny how we sometimes see matches differently I guess. Beauty of the game.

Selfish people getting married during the season

I don't remember Edge playing particularly poorly...for me the goal was the fault of the keeper not coming for it - Edge was back pedalling and couldn't get off the ground to head away. Durnan was by far the better of the two mind you.

I see Toshney is facing yet another spell out. He's constantly injured. Such a waste of money. Murdoch looked awful when he came on too.

"I don't think anyone could have predicted this."

Considering who their manager was, I totally predicted it.
Of course I had predicted it for the last three years, but it's still nice to be vindicated.

Similar story at Tannadice. It's astonishing that when playing with two strikers, the team actually manages to score, win a game and get both strikers on the scoresheet. It's almost as if playing for a win might give you a chance of winning, whilst playing for a 0-0 gives you very little chance.
It's the exact same sodding situation as we had under Houston. If McKinnon reverts to one up top again then we may as well give him the boot, as he clearly doesn't want the team to win.
