Domestic terrorism no?

Sad to say this wont change a thing. Mass shootings happen a lot in america and they never change anything. They are stuck in the middle ages.

Nice country but held back by some archaic laws. No sane country would let its citizens carry machine guns.

^ This

As Obama discovered the NRA are simply too powerful and will continue to influence/lobby (already lax) gun laws in many states.

Like most mass shootings in the US sales of firearms will increase this week. In Nevada folk with existing mental health issues can legally purchase high powered weapons without a permit, nor license.

It's may be a one off 'act of terror', but it's not terrorism in the usual MSM context. It's one crazed pensioner wanting to go out in a blaze of glory.

There are many thousands of people in America with vast armouries waiting for 'when the schit hits the fan'.

It's in the constitution and because it's one of the most profitable aspects of American life absolutely anyone can buy and carry weapons.

Ironically those who are in local militias who train in camps to be ready for when the government turns on them are just making that government even more money and are perpetuating the problem, but these guys are just a small part of the problem because everyone's got a gun.

Poor mental health care, in fact in many areas zero health care, and the huge crack/meth problem make it even harder to deal with.

The gun laws in an instance like this won't make a bit of difference unfortunately as if someone wants to do something like this they will find a way but how on Earth semi automatic weapons are legal is one of the most ridiculous scenarios on the planet.

Going to Vegas in five weeks incidentally.

What are the uses of an automatic weapon? Hunting - no, protection? Madness to allow these to be openly purchased.

It's such a money maker for the oligarchy they don't give a f@ck about the consequences.

Trump's loosened the laws even further to allow anyone the right to carry a gun, whether they're mentally stable or not.

They offer prayers and sympathy but otherwise don't care cos it makes them so much money. It's never going to improve.

Making it easier for those who wish to commit mass murder, to get their hands on high powered firearms is certainly not the solution.

Whilst Trump has pandered to Bannon and his ilk, implementing unnecessary and pointless travel bans, he has also capitulated to the NRA and their lobbyists.

IMO Sandyhook was a watershed moment. If the mass murder of infant school children was not enough for the US to change, nothing will.

Exactly it, absolutely nothing will change, especially whilst Trump.is at the head of the table and let's not forget we just had eight years with a president very much anti guns and he couldn't get a thing done.
