Great post LLF.
A true legend. That's Kingy, not you. Although you may be as well, I don't really know you.
Whatever your views on whether you believe Andy King is good enough for the premier league today, you cannot argue that he is a true servent of our club, a humble man and has been a huge part of one of the greatest chapters of our history.
For that, he is, and should always receive our gratitude and adulation.
His quiet demeanour and way he just goes about his job with minimal fuss makes it hard to call him a legend. But the reality is, he is.
His interviews with the mercury recently were very interesting. He basically knew he wasn't technically the best, so decided to work the hardest. Credit to him for that.
Doubt he is a legend if you don't know him...
Has been a great servant to our club.
Can certainly be described as a model professional.
Can't ever recall any bad press or Rooney like behaviour.
When interviewed does seem to be a decent man and a cut above many of his profession.
Not had a bad career either, what highs and lows he has experienced.
Not sure I'm following that Glory?
Mersey, I think Glory was replying to FFS's post, but... ah, never mind.
Anyway, to spend 10 years at a club is a great rarity these days, including times when he was getting interest from clubs that were better off at the time. He's never complained or gone to the press, or moaned about his lot. He has behaved how we expect other footballers to behave, but sadly so often do not.
He holds records at our club, he has been part of the squad from our lowest ebb up to our greatest achievement, and he has scored in every season he's been here so far. He never comes across as a player who plays well for himself, but he is a player who has saved his best performances for when the team needed them. Some could say he lacks ambition; I say his outlook is of the ultimate team player.
His haters can go stuff their faces full of sour grapes and chew on them. Because there's only one King in Leicester.
Great post Dunge. I was waiting for your contribution with baited breath. You didn't let me down.

Haha, Brilliantly well said!
This is possibly a poor analogy, but he strikes me as being a bit like a good character actor – say Tim Spall or Jim Broadbent. Never quite had the star quality for lead roles, but always unobtrusively reliable.
So much so, that his performances often pass under the radar, until you notice the depth and breadth of his career achievements and realise that, in spite of certain limitations, he's really pretty good at what he does.
In terms of loyalty, consistency and durability, a Graham Cross for our time.
He's been a faithful servant to the club, a model pro and I've been waiting for his testimonial so I can contribute - Haters stay away from this thread and don't sully a tribute to a fantastic Leicester player
Oh and the two one star v vankers to this thread FU
Great player and hopefully a future Ambassador for our football club.
He played a really important role in the Championship (below and above) and scored some great no.10 goals.
It's unfortunate for him (and us) that his ability is limited to this level. He wasn't part of the League winning first team and that is the problem we face right now
Some brilliant tributes to Kingy, well apart from Glory, Glory (must be a tottie)
fv I meant to mebtion testimonial possibilities in my post.
Anybody that spends 10 years at one club ( which its not one of the big boys) deserves one
UTF
I'm kind of with Cheesynacho on this one.
Andy King, top bloke, honest professional, model pro.
Andy has hit his peak with us and probably a while back. It would be nice if he could produce 20% more on top this season.
A decent goalscoring midfielder for us, just too gentlemanly in todays game.
Likeable, decent, LCFC through & through and deserves to stay within the Leicester City set-up for years to come.
A long-term successor to Alan Birchenall, yes.
A legend? Not yet, no. But up there somewhere.
A cult hero? Probably yes in many eyes.
The club should definately lay down the red carpet and offer Andy a positive role when he hangs up his boots. I can't say fairer than that.
Not one of my faves, but a good professional over the years.
Maybe strange to note he's 'only' 28, this thread does read a little as though he's retiring.
It does actually, but not intentionally.
Could be limited opportunities for him after January i think?
But, knowing Andy, he will want to stay within the LCFC set-up, and who could blame him?
