80 caps - I wonder how many were of any real importance?
To be fair he's been playing for Belgium since 17 so he was bound to have a fair few caps; but so many players are breaking the 100 caps now I don't think you can call it a milestone.
No Charlags 100 caps for a country is still a milestone.
Yeah 100 definitely is but getting to 50 used to be a thing whereas now it's a given. A lot of players could get to that within 5/6 years.
How many England caps has Milker got?
And funny thing is he's still flattered to deceive for Belgium. This period of Belgium football history will be looked upon the same way England's golden generation were. A collection of world class players who for whatever reason just didn't give a damn once the national shirt was on their backs.

ought to be breaking balls in Russia....bet they don't
England's Golden Generation - What plonker coined that phrase ? We had Gerrard, Lampard and some vastly overrated others, always failed at finals. Golden as in turd-coloured maybe but still miles better than today's squad.

It was a golden generation. You had the likes of Beckham, Terry, Ashley Cole and Ferdinand off the top of my head.
They just underachieved but make no mistake it was a golden generation.
Yeah Kuki I agree with you!
Which other players can you name have that many appearances at 26? Very few, because like Hazard need a combination of starting from late teens, no big injuries, and a good enough international team they qualify for every tournament. Not common at all. Neymar, Lukaku, maybe Eriksen off top of my head are some players who may have similar caps at 26.
It was a golden generation due to the quality of players, not what they achieved. Everyone knows they underachieved greatly.

Michael Owen retired from England at 28 with 89 caps, would've shattered the caps record if it wasn't for injuries.

On paper they're one of the favorites, absolutely spit roasted their qualification group. They've got time, at least two more competitions after this one before this generation fades away, but their last two competitions weren't promising at all - went out with a wimpier.
Ray Wilkins got 84 caps between the ages 20 and 30. Hazard has roughly the same number of caps between ages 17 and 26. If they are representative, there has not really been any difference over the years.
