Glad he is putting on show today

Lack a striker on the pitch. Our build up play is good but don't seem to have anyone to finish it off. Bonatini needs to come on early in the second half.

Whatever the final result, this is a team that shouod challenge for promotion and wouldn't look out of place in the prem. Just swap Cav for Aguero when we get there

Who is central today? Cav or Jota?

The latter if we still need the goal that is

Murdering em. Just need a cutting edge up front.

Jota is more central of the 3. Cav seems to be all over the place, including up in the air most of the time being put there by villa defenders.

To be fair the front three are quite fluid, but no one really gets in the box when we have it in wide positions.

Probably should have had a penalty, possibly two.

His range and ability is phenomenal as we know, but they way he drops deep into full back position to collect the ball and his work rate without the ball is giving me a semi

Villa can't win this surely ..... Can they ?

Thought doc was looking for the pen tbh, the Costa one in the back looked a pen mind

Some fruity tackles gone in from both sides and to be fair to the ref he has let a lot go to keep the play flowing. He has missed a couple of key decisions though, Costa getting kicked in the face by Kodjia a point in case!

Very fluid but yes we seem to lack a focal point playing in this formation and my only concern is when teams learn to nullify us can we change to be effective ?

Leo on second half probably for Cost I would guess.

And to think we managed with Dave for 10 years

Reckon Bonatini will be on for the last 20, will have to see which one of Ca v or Costa get kicked off the park first. Jota' s safe though, too fast for them to get a kick in on him.

Costa hasn't been in the game Gem, he needs to get up to speed. We all know how good he is !
