He was excellent today and did a very good job. Watched him shut out Salah several times and kept his composure with some deft touches. He’ll become as good, if not better than Walker

I'd rather Rose was back tbh

Rose has pace and is more effective going forward.

Let's get Rose in for United away!

Salah went round him very easily and if he hadnt jumped on a couple of occasion aurier would have been booked maybe more. Hes ok But not brilliant.

Aurier is a rb. You dont have to choose between the two of them.

When we signed him I immediately trawled the internet for a look and my first opinion was that he goes to ground far to easily.

My second opinion was that he is actually a good footballer and not just an athlete as a lot of the african players are.

He plays with his head up, his distribution is better than average and a hell of a lot better than Walkers ever was his touch is good and he is brave.

IMO he will become a great signing for us and a combination of Poch and his own football ability will stop the ging to ground problem we just have to be a bit patient with him.

Anyway 50 mill for Walker when sold and 26 mill to replace him with a better player, sounds like damned good business to me

Agree with that Grand. Never seen a FB look so comfortable on the opposite side either. Very astute signing

You know me I always call it as I see it and I know lots of you love Wanyama but for me he is not a good footballer. Good athlete maybe but not a good footballer.

Aurier showed us in Madrid what a good player he is (ignore the pen the numpty) he also showed us today even tho out of position he is confident and capable. Was I Trippier I would make sure I grabbed a good seat on that bench cos I think he is going to be back on it a hell of a lot this season

Captain

I agree totally, I know the experts were saying that their player had overun the ball but in my eyes it was an attempt at a last minute desperate tackle and their player was clever enough to win the pen.

I thought Aurier was excellent in Madrid and he even made Sissoko look a good player which is not easy to do
