"Is De Boer the answer, I've seen his name linked now as the kind of Manager to turn Leicester round, to get us playing Football and being more flexible than Shakey could ever be".

Is he "Flexible" enough to get his head in the sand? Is he an Ostrich? 😜

I've also been wondering about the timing of the sacking, was there disagreement about the appointment in the first place such that the knives came out once we didn't have a good start? It seems strange that he wasn't given a few more games.

What change in tactics? We've just reverted to standard against a team whose own tactics were perfect for us.

De Boer - not for me as I'd prefer evolution not revolution. Pardew, van Gaal - no!

"Is De Boer the answer"

--------

Only if the question is: "Who can we bring in to get us relegated?"

"with pictures of half empty Stadiums in the NFL games as fans boycott games due to the Anthem issues, what would it take for English fans to Boycott our games across the board, would we ever do it?"

--------

Thought I might have a go at this one: It's never a comfortable situation where politics and sport get so deeply intertwined as they have in this situation. However, I can totally understand why so many people in America right now would have such little respect for the flag and the anthem. After all, what does America stand for now, when the president is who he is, acting like he is, showing support for (or at least refusing to condemn) right wing extremists who have already killed one protester while - which is more - people knew he was like that when they voted him in? If I was American, I too would feel embarrassed by my country right now as well. The kneeling to the national anthem, which I think of as effectively accepting the flag flying at half mast, is incredibly apt.

Would we have the same situation here? One of the things I love about the UK is the non-acceptance of extremists. The ability to laugh at and criticise our politicians, and anyone who tries to claim they have an easy solution for everything, is a great thing. So I maintain hope that we won't have to find out the answer to this in our lifetime. Could it happen? Possibly, but again I'm not sure we would be so brazen about it. The British way has always been to laugh it off and get on with things, particularly with regard to entertainment. Whether things are changing with a new generation who are taking life and politics very seriously right now is difficult to say.

Nuneaton - exactly my point about he tactics and the opposition, Shakey may as well been stood on the touch line so why the change, was it more Pre this result rather than post the WBA one?

DM - I want really thinking about the Political aspect, more would we ever get so upset over ticket prices or wanting standing sections that we’d protest so strongly across the whole League spectrum?

I’m quite sure as you’ve said we’d really never go it for Political reasons.

TB - Arguably we should be doing it right now. I don't know how far ticket prices would have to go to cause a nation-wide protest. I think what has happened more here is that apathy has taken over. People just get downhearted by their football club not providing entertainment. Look at the West Brom crowd on Monday, for instance.

The problem is, and I think people are aware of this, the Premier League is now so global and powerful that they wouldn't care that much is fans did boycott the matches. It'd just be an excuse to turn teams into franchises and play games abroad, to make the whole league like the abomination (my opinion) that is American football. However, if we don't accept the money side of the game, would we just turn into something resembling the Scottish leagues? Nobody wants that either.

It would be good to see change, to make the English league more like the German one, but there are too many vested interests and too many glory supporters around to make it happen. Look at how the phone-ins, journalists, MOTD Extra, for instance, all bang on about the big clubs with the rest of us being a laughable joke of a footnote - something to sneer at. If anything football continues to move away from anything that would see protests from ordinary fans.

I’d agree totally with that, it would almost need to be now or never but as you say the time has probably already passed.

In regard to the big club situation, it was interesting that when Souness was being quizzed about the likelihood of Liverpool winning the league again, he was very downbeat, citing the competition around these days such as the two Manchester clubs. Not once during that discussion did they mention that only two years ago Leicester showed that it can be done. Our achievement seems to have been an unwanted aberration which can now be conveniently forgotten about and treated as if it never happened.

I am glad that vicious bar steward did not mention us anyway hes only there to sell his book.
We are an embarrassment to all the so called big clubs who have invested heavily and in some cases really badly to ensure it never happens again.

It bloody great isn't

Incidentally, look at this:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41719228

I love the BBC, but they're at it again: All weekend they've been speculating about Ronald Koeman's position as Everton manager, after 9 games and including suggesting a replacement for him. Pundits and journalists are queuing up to get him the sack. Same with Bilic at West Ham. But when we actually do the deed it's somehow immoral. Absolute bunch of hypocrites.

posted on 23/10/17

Most of these pundits failed at management or never had the minerals to do it.

posted on 23/10/17

No doubt now Koeman has gone the same people will be lamenting the state of Football and how owners jump the gun.

Some might even point out, they had an even harder start than Leicester and that’s saying something.

Still, they’ll See Leicester as one team on that fixture list they’d Expect to get maximum points from, I’m sure we’d hope for a draw which would be a decent result.

And now apparently Everton are being linked with Dyche. Fantastic. The dithering stupidity of our club is infuriating.

I find myself wondering who exactly we're waiting for in order to actually make a move. I'm coming to the conclusion that it's Godot.

Preki?

At least we've got another manager to choose from now. It beggars belief that we sack someone and don't have a replacement lined up.

posted on 23/10/17

A manager I don't like. While Everton may go and snap up the manager who's top of my list by some distance.

I like Dyche too Dunge.

I wouldn't be too bothered about Koeman. Let's just get in someone who will stabilise and take us forward.

Dunge

Dithering, Stupid
Could you be talking about our DOF
I,ll give you a clue , he has the same initials as that bloke who got shot by Kristen in Dallas ( the tv programme not JFK )

maybe we were waiting for Koeman to become available.
He might bring Walshy back with him. (but then again !)

The Burnley fans must be really peed off that Sean Dyche becomes firm favourite for every job that comes up. Bit like us with MON back in the late 90s

RL just been talking about Dyche in depth with views backwards and forwards about whether Leicester would be a good fit.

Interesting point made

He runs Burnley top to bottom, no DOF to stab him in the back st Burnley or undermine him.

He likes a rigid 442 with regular players constantly picked with everyone having their role drilled into them, everyone knows exactly what they're Supposed to do, remind you of anyone and anywhere?

Hilarious clip played where Danny Mills (well known Leicester Hater ) said Dyche is far too good for and is bigger than Leicester !

What comes out of Danny Mills's mouth could fertilise a desert.

posted on 23/10/17

Dyche and Rudkin could be a match made in hell!

A bit like Walsh Andy Koeman.

Walsh and Dyche on the other hand.

Oh.

Took me a while to realise who Walsh Andy Koeman was.

He's a cold man who passes sideways then gets sent off.
