A reminder, this student died after falling from a roof while hiding from officers while they were raiding an illegal lockdown party during tier 3 rules

He never had the opportunity to laugh & make jokes about breaking the rules afterwards

You know that Downing Street Xmas party that the government party denies ever happened, well @itvnews has exclusive footage of a mock Downing St press conference four days after in which head of broadcast Ed Oldfield and @AllegraCOP26 joke about it. https://t.co/PfWLmZeXQW

Oh dear!

Why's it only being shared now if it was a year old?

After Grenfell, Windrush, hostile environment, Russia report, 4 million children living in poverty, 2.5 million uses of food banks, constantly pandering to far-right bigots & industrial levels of corporate manslaughter, the Xmas party thing is like getting Capone on tax evasion

Eh? You mean the original cladding at the point of it being built or as part of the repairs?

Also, the government (the tax payer) is footing the bill for the vast majority of it.

Yeah I think he should ‘resign’ but that won’t happen until they have someone to replace him and I don’t think there’s anyone that the majority would back.

Yes! It's just one contemptible decision/outcome after another under his inept so-called leadership.
There has to be some competent Tories in Westminster surely!

I don’t dislike truss as most of you do but she’s not leader material, nor is Sunak and yes he’s just too short.

Glad we’re in agreement across the political divide on this one.

Just one story amongst the many; as many of you will know, my father in law died last year. My wife couldn’t go to the funeral in Finland. Being extremely poor growing up, it has always been so vital than in the run up to Christmas she and her family get together regularly for different activities. We didn’t last year. We followed the rules. The UK government didn’t. They had parties.

She’s a female version of Johnson. Says silly things and takes silly photographs but underneath that veneer is someone who IMO would, to put it nicely, shove their granny aff a bus. Nadeem Zahawi would be a much more grown-up option.

Yeah this is what is unacceptable about these rule breaks. It’s not so much the rule breaking itself it’s that so many of us adhered to the rules despite, in some circumstances such as your better half, having genuine and important reasons to want to break the rules.

For me it’s also the stupidity of it. So much is monitored and reported these days, it’s not the 70s or 80s anymore; everything comes out in the wash these days.
