Given situation in Ukraine, and dependent on how things pan out, i'd be surprised if Ukraine are able to gain EU ascension before 2030.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t see how it could possibly happen without tearing up Article 49.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is that unanimous approved by the council? Yeah, both Germany and Holland have already noted their reservations in regard to membership.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They just really aren’t anywhere near the accession criteria, are they? And beyond the immediate risks, what kind of precedent would bypassing those set?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not in the slightest.

Last week Liz Truss said the UK would “stand up” to despots and cut its “strategic dependence on authoritarian regimes.”
Today Boris Johnson travelled to Saudi Arabia to beg its dictator to give us more oil.
Tory Britain
----------------------------------------------------------------------
17 million people in Yemen are in urgent need of food assistance thanks in no small part to the Saudi blockade. 17 facking million. Aid agencies have had to pull out due to the intensity of the fighting.
The Saudis are using Typhoon and Tornado aircraft, Paveway bombs and Brimstone and Stormshadow missiles in Yemen. The planes are serviced by BAE Systems, who also kindly provide strategic advice and training to the Saudis.
An estimated £20bn worth of UK planes, missiles, other munitions and support equipment has been acquired by the Saudis since the start of the civil war, much of which is currently being used to pound families in tribal villages into the desert dirt.

And I appreciate opinions should change when facts change but Raab's gotcha isn't just a failure to answer the question and a bit moot considering Corbyn is no longer a Labour MP, it's also ridiculous when Boris said this:

When partygate was in full swing I said Boris was toast and had the Russians not invaded Ukraine I think he might of been.
