Atmosphere today in Westminster somehow feels worse than before the confidence vote. Mood much darker. One MP says they had been content to wait for rule change till the autumn but now want it done before recess. Very very different tone.

who'd have thought a grope would be worse than deliberately breaking your own lockdown laws eh? State of this country.

I get the impression some Tory MP's somehow genuinely thought the country would just move on and Boris would have no further scandal's.

Madness really given his track record.
