I dunno

Lots of unions suggested voting brexit would mean they would be able to demand increased wages and some of the biggest proponents of brexit who are politicians have been 2nd or 3rd generation so it's not unfeasible

That old bint moaning about roofs is a highlight though, a symbol of just how truly thick this country is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So you're telling me that if you had heard about the French and Germans being on roofs 7 years ago, you wouldn't have been swung towards voting Brexit?

Brexit voting man in white, "I've seen people entering this country and going straight down to the benefits office."

So what this fat mug is admitting is he gets his tiny bit of exercise by waiting at airports and following random foreigners to the benefits centre. Believable eh?

Jenny Chapman has always had very mumsy hair however she's obviously got herself some straighteners and is trying to glam herself up. She's always fancied Starmer so I would imagine it's for his benefit.

Campbell cuts a sad figure these days, he just can't hide the fact that Boris is the first thing he thinks about in the morning and the last thing he thinks about before he goes to sleep. He's obsessed and it's not doing him any good.

Once Brexit is binned off and the UK rejoins - which I reckon will happen within 10 years - I hope people just laugh loudly in people like that guys face. What a racist mess of a man.

In order to rejoin a party has to campaign on and win a GE with that in their manifesto.

As realistically only Lab/Tory can get an outright majority which party do you think will change their mind?

I think Labour are sensibly not talking about it now just to get into power and once they are they’ll start to get the process in place and by the time or Starmer’s second term it’ll be a big talking point once the true extent of the Brexit disaster is being felt by everyone.

Did you vote for Brexit? And if you could go back would you have done differently?

I was away with work so didn't vote but I know many leave voters who would now vote remain or abstain because they have no faith in the Brexit they thought they voted for ever being achieved.

I have no doubt that if there was a second ref remain would walk it.

Also this over indulged (lots and lots of food) liar

First of all his whole point is anecdotal at best but he's obviously chatting shiiiit, are we supposed to believe he's seen someone land at Gatwick or moor at Dover and "go straight down the benefits office"

The only people willing to defend brexit now are just old racists with no actual point to make on benefits to leaving the EU other than "forren bad"

And once again the BBC is clawing at balance by giving then a platform
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How much do you want to bet that what he actually means is he's seen brown people with English as a second language claim benefits, and he's just assumed they therefore must have arrived straight from a boat?

Don't you know talking bout a revolution sounds like a whisper
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Poor people are gonna rise up

More likely poor people are gonna keep reading the Sun, watching I’m A Celebrity, and desperately saving pennies from all the overtime hours they can get in the vain hope of seven days in Benidorm sometime in 2025 or 2026.

these idiots were fooled into thinking Brexit was going to mean a huge reduction in immigration to Britain

Hardly likely given the neo liberal free market capitalists that run both major parties

A desire for never ending cheap labour, negative birth rates amongst indigenous Brits , and many Brits unwilling to do low paid jobs meant large immigration is necessary to keep the economy afloat

What these people have done is trade in European migrants from places like Poland etc for Non European migrants from old Commonwealth countries and Africa

Hardly a desirable switch for the Tory loving Brexiteers

I knew this was going to happen, and therefore voted Remain

I had to go to hospital with my wife during the last junior doctors strike. She had a whole section of a ward to herself and 1:1 nurse care. They said it was the quietest they had ever seen it, mainly because all the idiots that go with minor issues were avoiding coming in on that date.

Obviously other hospitals could have experienced the complete opposite, but it was crazy how much calmer it was where we are.

On the 5th July my lad was due to have a day at his new Secondary school culminating in a meet and greet session where the missis and I would get to see his new classroom and get introduced to his form tutor.

Because of the latest teachers strike action this has now got to be rescheduled causing parents (who already have to make arrangements for a 7 week summer holiday) more upheaval.

With lots of kids already behind because of the Covid shut down it beggars belief that teachers are ready to inflict more damage and makes the argument that they shouldn't be allowed to strike very appealing to many parents/carers.

I suppose if you look at it very narrowly mindedly then that could be the case. Sadly, that's how a lot of people see it aswell.

I agree
Unionise workers
Fair pay for all
Not just Company Execs, etc
We should all have had our salaries increased inline with the cost of living

Instead most of us have not, whilst Company Execs have awarded themselves pay rises far in excess of the cost of living increase

posted on 23/6/23

The fact is, government want low paid workers to spend less to help reduce inflation. High earners tend to spend their money differently which doesn't impact inflation so much. This is the Tory world we live in a most votes for.

My heroes in government!!?

Because I think Starmer is a duplicitous con man it doesn't follow that I think the government are doing well.
