I don't think Starmer should have said what he did but all he did was praise the way she brought about change, he didn't endorse any of her policies.
It's kind of ironic I'm seeing loads of Corbyn supporters of all people come after Starmer based on a misrepresented headline.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's the way the Labour party is. Whichever faction is out of control always looks to undermine the other. Then when they are in control, they moan about the other one doing it.
I'm pretty sure a lot of the left of the party would rather the Tories win the next election, so they can carry on fighting from the sidelines.
Tories have their own squabbles but are maybe a bit better at holding it together, I think it helps that a lot of the moderate Tories like Alicia Kearns have relatively safe seat
But I do think if the centre right regains control of the party after the next election the likes of Braverman will be very snipey
https://twitter.com/j0ne_s_/status/1731629040304333013?t=Ci3WsmNi8MK4eHZOVq_8_A&s=19
Think that's a fair assessment of the stink.
It's politically sound to court telegraph readers and backing entrepreneurship is not a crime
But when theres already a fracture within the party, made bigger by the ceasefire debate, is it good party management to even mention Thatcher

NEW: Rishi Sunak to announce major package of measures to reduce net migration today.
Set to include rise in minimum salary threshold for skilled worker visas; scaling back of health & social care visas; overhaul of shortage occupation list
Let’s make it more difficult for old people to be looked after lads
Turning on old people and economic growth, who even are the Tories
National arsonists, we're going to get decimated so we'll burn the place to the ground. Traitors.
The old people will be happy with all that. They are generally the ones who are against immigration and blame them for the problems with health and social care; rather than accepting we have an aging population that is having to be funded by a marginalised working percentage of the population.

Sir Keir Starmer heaped praise on Margaret Thatcher for effecting “meaningful change” in Britain as he launched an explicit appeal to Conservative voters to switch to Labour.

finally he’s not hiding his Tory credentials

or hes trying to convince the Red Wall Alf Garnets to vote labour again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why would the red wall vote for a bloke that bum licks Thatcher? They facking hated her
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All my family bar my uncle Stan were all Labour supporters and they all despised Thatcher. Most are now Tories that wish we had a leader as strong as Thatcher.
I saw a bloke the other month wearing a hoody saying I Still Hate Thatcher. Even my 18-year-old liberal minded daughter thought he was an idiot. The left in this country are fecking nasty vengeful assssholes. I can't remember that last time I've seen a Vote Tory sign in someone's window, and that's because people are afraid some scabby lefty will throw a brick through it, and it was the same with Brexit.

Hec, you got a mention in that Telegraph article.
The left are nasty or vengeful because he once saw a guy wearing an I still hate Thatcher hoody. Just let that sink in.
There are no Tory signs because Tories have lost support and those who still back them are embarrassed to show their Toryhood and display that they're part of the band of spectacular geniuses that have voted this country into ruin.
This genius wants to blame the left for that, and you will notice everything is the lefts fault with his type.
Left and right do exist, it goes down to ones core, and how you think and the interpretations you make from observations, which can be broadly categorized into two. Stoopid or Tory and not stoopid and not Tory. I'm sorry but we witness genuine stoopidity on here regularly.
