I bet a pound to the penny that Boris has absolutely zero problem with Man City bus parades halting traffic all around the city ever year. That’s absolutely fine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is absolutely fine, plenty of notice is given to the authorities so people can make contingency plans. πŸ‘
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just so I’m clear, your problem with people trying to save the planet is that they don’t give you enough notice.

That’s what you’re writing to the world today?

Please say yes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
‘Save the planet’ you say?

I don’t recall Greenpeace vandalising Stonehenge or attacking art treasures

"A crew of Greenpeace activists set out to stop a BP oil rig setting out drill a new well in the North Sea.

Occupying a platform on the side of the rig, the climbers had enough supplies for several days. But with some sneaky re-supplying from the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise, they stayed in place for two full weeks.

Greenpeace climbers and boat drivers were arrested and went to court in Scotland, where they received community service sentences."

Did they give prior notice for this?

Just heard on the radio one of the reasons why "normal" people are in uproar is because they put asylum seekers in 5 star hotels when the rest of the UK population are skint.

Holiday Inn Express Tamworth and Rotherham are apparently 5 Star establishments.

In fairness Greenpeace actions, numerous and dangerous though they are, they don't receive a modicum of the headlines and conversation a few grannies and students with superglue and coloured dust does.

How many cars did they stop, how many people missed hospital appointments, did they target it because there was a Vermeer exhibition onboard and the wanted to destroy the paintings?

I find people like Boris and these rioters really quite funny.

None have the bottle to just be honest and say what their actual problem is. Just own it you wimps

Why do you think stopping traffic on a busy motorway helps the local air quality?

I’m not a scientist but I’d be interested in finding out

Yes, that certainly justifies setting a hotel on fire while people are inside it, and then standing around applauding it like some kind of weird far-right version of The Wicker Man.

The contents of the burning wheelie bin are more intelligent than this lot. They should be done for attempted murder.

So all the farmers that have been slowing down traffic in their protests this year should get 5 years in prison?

Two tier policing?

What if the JSO protestor was a doctor or other key profession? Should they get less of a sentence.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Plenty of police resources used in protests across numerous cities and towns, extra officers needed to protect mosques, extra court staff drafted in to prosecute these idiots. The cost of the damage and the cost to the communities.

But JSO protesters [have never] delayed my trip to work says Boris.

When those held up turn off their engines. Need to ask a scientist the answer.
