And also I shouldn’t have responded like that either as that was quite personal and clearly nobody would know.
My apologies
Imagine applauding someone being hauled off stage because he’s distraught at children being blown up.

would be good news if nurses did go on strike again. And this time not guilt-tripped into backing down. If anybody deserves a massive payrise... it's nurses.

Would be better news if they had a decent union that wanted to work with government and agree a 5 year plan to improve pay and conditions whilst also rewarding loyalty from those that stay the course so we don’t keep losing them abroad.

I think they got all the recognition they deserved when people clapped outside their houses during covid. Can’t be giving them any power to bend the tax payer over by striking.

I don't believe that.
It's a vocation given the nature of some of their duties and the extra unpaid overtime they work to get the best outcomes for their patients, I think it's fair to say they are probably their own worst enemy when it comes to negotiating their salaries because of their priorities.
The NHS is understaffed and we'll need more skilled people, one of the biggest draws for the best international pool of medicos are living standards, working conditions and salary and the NHS isn't the biggest draw.

Why don't they just admit they made a mistake, this kind of u turn is forgotten in days and an easy win for Labour.

Why is this story still about whether the taxpayer helps the aged by giving even more money to energy suppliers, rather than being about the energy companies shafting everyone? Energy crisis = bumper profits. Genuinely don't get it.
