As players available to loan reduces more and more, the cost of borrowing to ensure that your club can continue to be viable is going to be more expensive.

Loan fees which would be in the level of several hundred thousand pounds will now be in the magnitude of millions.

I do wonder if there's a correlation between this tin eared call for another inquiry into the systemic abuse of young women by, ostensibly brown/Pakistani/Muslim men and Justin Welby officially standing down yesterday. Is this all a classic case of 'look over there at the brown men abusing our women' while the facilitator of abuse by a Christian organisation quietly steps down.
