Crying about secondary issues just serves as a distraction from the main problem. It's whataboutery and stops us from really getting into the issue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Secondary issues?

Oppose racism and racists.

Don't make life about skin pigmentation though.

It's accident of birth.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed. Just like nationality.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Very much so, big man.

Am only Irish by accident.โ˜˜

My Bore War comment was joshing, 4za inspired and I was going to say, happy memories for us old timers, mate.

As I just said, trying to come down off happy pills after years now as my head is busted, headaches and foggy morning brain, cannot focus on WFH job, so if you see me lash out or go gaga, apologies in advance, haha.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Careful with that. Doctor tell you to stop or you just fed up?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Months of night sweats, nightmares, sore head in mornings, behind eye pain, foggy brain for hours as I WFH from 7.30am and hard to concentrate, plus keep dropping and breaking stuff and feel tired all the time, but.

Rang doc and doing one day on tabs and one off then none in couple of weeks.

Am a fookin rocket mate and head always racing some days, which is why I vented here and posted like a bot on speed and acid, to get it outta me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope you feel better soon mate
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheers chum, it's just depression and melancholy really and tbh, am miles better than a few years ago.

Might be lockdown, WFH, home schooling with teenage daughter and dark winter days, but Spring has sprung and wife and I get vaccine this week.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
April Fool's day if I remember.
Be wary Arlene doesn't send your dose to the republic for not voting for her.

Tbab, when I first got my hand injured the hospital was doing a study on hand injuries/amputations with relation to depression and a nurse asked if I'd like to take part. Keep a journal and schit. Fook that.
About 15 months later I was in the fekin psyche ward begging for help. Got nerve pills and tried them for 2 weeks. Had horrible night terrors, and sweat like a glassblowers erse. Went back, told the doc. He says "We'll just double the dose."Argued with him about trial and error as no way to measure chemicals in brain got nowhere and told him to fek off. Didn't realise the cant could have had me committed if he wanted.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mad my man, and if you mention suicidal thoughts to GP you can be a candidate for sectioning, so telling them to fek aff could also suffice, lol.

Don't know if you ever felt that numb no feeling depression thing, but I got that years ago and that was the worst, just zombie like, anti-social, hating crowds and people and just no emotion.

I know am alive now, because I feel and laugh and cry lol.

Girls in work recommended my current Vensor happy pill as least night sweat prone, but it's been 6 years and I need off it to see what it's like again.

I tried to go cold turkey a couple years back and Dave told me not too..then I was fighting with everyone here and locally, including Dave lol.

If I was born black, I would like to think I would not view people around me as racist, privileged, or the enemy.
-----
Good thing that's not what black people do then
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hmmm.

All?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The law of probability suggests there must be some who do. But you can't generalize.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course, I said if I was black with my personality and mindset, I would not judge others, so I was being me in a different skin, is all...not speaking for a race or generalizing at all.

We can only speak for ourselves really in life.

Some of my best enemies are white.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's ok. On my part I only pointed out that that's not what black people do.

Q

After lockdown, there will be massive mental health, drink n drug and domestic abuse issues to face.

I would love to change career late in life and help folk, as I can relate and empathize and get the human mind.

Offered a counselling course after my own counselling, but could not afford to leave work....might try again.

Might mess people up more than before, but you never know lol

Some do mate, just as some whites are racist.

Some Asian folk are racist towards black people.

Reality is not always comfortable.

Tbh i disagree here WWSPD

I think the French president does always represent the bloc and should be aware of what they say in this regard,

Likewise the German premier

They have added responsibility due to their influence
----------------------------------------------------------------------
By that rationale if Nicola Sturgeon said the AZ vaccine wasn't safe for the over 65s, one might conclude she was representing the Scottish government rather than the whole of the UK.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No because she doesnt have the same unilateral influence on UK policy that Macron has on EU direction
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Macron, unilaterally has little control in regard to EU policies. He has a vote as a member of the EU Council.

I'd argue French MEPs, and French representation in the Commission have more influence.

To get back to the point, Macron was acting as French president, whose comments (re AZ) directly contradicted the EMAs official vaccine guidance.

Yet his comments were misappropriated by some in the UK as being the official viewpoint of the EU/EMA.

I've been doing it for a few years now. Really enjoy it.

The IFA grass roots have a load of protocols for protecting coaches. Has to be two coaches present for any toilet breaks etc. And all coaches have to pass an AcesssNI check (to make sure you're not on any register) before they can begin the level 1 coaching badge.

That doesnt exactly make a good argument for the EU power structures working well when all their member states didnt listen at the same time

Teacher lifted my dad by ear in Boys Model school, as Wwspd will know as top footballing school, so dad decked teacher and got expelled, in the 1950's๐Ÿ˜Ž
