That he deserves to start in the league.

How is that a pedestal and who has said that, I think I put him in one team when pedro had a knock, but don't know many others who have mate.

I have repeatedly in last few weeks argued with people who think he should be starting, either on here or in Shed End.

It's like 2010 all over again when Flo and Anelka hit a rut and Kakuta suddenly became the answer.

When the first team regulars are struggling, it is a a very good opportunity to give a highly rated youngster who plays in the same position a run out to see what they can do/where they are in their development.

That's all people who were asking for him to play were looking for.

I for one am excited to see what he can do against Everton...hopefully he plays well again this perceived better opposition and gains confidence whiles earning Conte's trust

Yeah, think it's a negative attitude to have tbh and that lack of opportunity is why we never bring players through and they don't have the confidence to succeed.

We have been short and willian has been woeful, why should musonda not get more time?

Not atall im a big advocate of Christensen playing and am a huge fan of Tammy.

I would love to be proved wrong but i think Charly is another case of overhype the youngster just because, which is why i made the Kakuta comparison because he was the definition of the phrase.

Don't remember anyone calling to play kakuta either tbh. lol

He's got quick feet but not sure he's a got other particulars stand out features at this point. Not sure if he's a big enough goal threat or a particularly good playmaker. A player like him could end up like, I dunno, Andros Townsend level or he could end up being top level.

Is Musonda playing tonight ?, if so. I think he might show us how good he can be !

Come on on Charley.

He's at the point where his attributes are enough to get him game time in order to further develop.
Pace, quick feet, dribbling, ball control and ok passing and movement are his positives now.

Who is to say with game time he doesn't polish and tighten up his game and possibly quickly too. So I am hoping he at least a good game tonight and becomes a regular sub in PL games.

He'll grow physically as he develops but honestly his physique isn't much different from someone like Rashford so it shouldn't really be used as a stick to beat him with.

I like Musonda.Chelsea though need a midfielder of Lampard's calibre who can regularly score 20 plus goals every season from midfield.Boy o boy Lampard was a class act.I miss him seeing play football for Chelsea

Nick how do Mata and Pedro have slight frame? Also Silva isn't that weak.Anyway I remember Carlo playing Josh McEachren in 2010/2011 season in Carling Cup game v Newcastle where McEachren put on a great performance and Chelsea lost but he was great. Also Carlo played him many times that season and I liked his performance but sadly he couldn't break into the first team and his loan spells were unsuccessful.Still we should be able to have youngsters at least as good as Jack Wilshere.

if you look at them, and use your eyes, you will see that they have a slight frame. I don't know how, maybe they don't eat that much, or genetics

Lampard also the only midfielder to be such a good goal scorer, probably in the history of the game. Definitely not a conveyor belt with those players in the world.

Yes thats why I was saying we need a good midfielder like Lampard who used to score for fun from midfield.Another two players who played great in midfield and scored goals was Rafael van der Vaart of Tottenham and Tim Cahill of Everton.
