QPR v Wolves match preview

I think if Boly returns it would be instead of Miranda not Batth.

Looking forward to the first trip to the capital for a while, makes for a good day out. Although the area around the qpr ground is not the best so back into the city after the game

Wolves have signed 18 year old striker Benny Ashley-Seal who is a free agent. Left Norwich in the summer and has been highly rated and had trials at Chelsea

Can't see Boly coming straight into the side without a couple of matches on the bench first, however I would think Batth and Coady will be tired after Tuesday night's exertions, so could be wrong.
Hoping that it's not a case of Wolves bringing us fans crashing down to earth after the City match and putting in a poor performance. Certainly the "old Wolves" would do that, however NES's side is made of sterner stuff.
QPR will be no push-overs and we know there are no easy games in the Championship, but I think we will sneak it 2-1.
Edwards and McDonald to get the goals.

Yes they have. As already reported in another thread by yours truly.

I think there will be tired legs from the players that played 120 minutes in the week but at least defenders tend to cover less miles in a game than midfield or forward players. Good that the likes of Doherty, Douglas, Neves, Saiss and Jota will be coming in fresh

posted on 27/10/17

I think it will be Miranda for Courtney, with all the big guns returning 0-3 Wolves. Jota, Leo x2.

....what a preview thread !

Outstanding stuff Gem, but if Boly's back I think it will be Danny Boy that makes way, with his weary legs from midweek.

I think this may be another toughie, Holloway will want to prove himself against Nuno and will want to stop us playing. Another clog fest and but we'll nick it 0-1.

Ref is Tony Harrington, who I've never heard of so that's probably a good thing.Just hope hes strong enough to stamp out the naughty stuff early on.

I think the starting 11 will probably be
Ruddy
Batth
Coady
Miranda
Doherty
Douglas
Neves
Saiss
Costa
Bonatini
Jota

With a bench of
Norris
Boly
Vinagre
N'Diaye (or price)
Cavaleiro
Marshall
Ronan

With Cavaleiro and Boly almost certainly making an appearance at some point.
N'Diaye is probably a doubt even for the bench as he was blowing out of his arris by the end on Tueasday.

Doc called up to the provisional Ireland squad, about time he got a full cap. Has been outstanding for us again this season.

I can't believe he doesn't have a cap already. Ireland must have a plethora of really good full backs.

I think I would predict the same team as you gem. Dependant on who needs a rest after Tuesday. We wait to see if Boly is ready. Tough choice between Douglas and Vinagre. And Costa hasn't yet produced the sparkle of last season, but needs the game time to get him there.

Noticed that QPR have drawn 5 and lost 2 in their last seven league games. So you would have to fancy us to get something there

gotta get the points in now, you know what happens in November

Have memories of a trip to QPR a couple of years ago when I didn't realise until walking to the ground that I had made the fatal mistake of leaving my ticket at home. Didn't want to miss the game so had no choice but to go to the ticket office and buy a ticket in the home fans area of the ground. Went for the main stand thinking it was likely to be reasonably civilised and less threatening (although that's as much a sh**hole as the rest of the ground). Spent the game surrounded by loud mouthed cockneys that had little interest in the game and spent the whole game baiting the Wolves fans. Ended 1-1 I think and had to bottle my feelings when they took an early lead and sink into the background when we equalised.

Someone mentioned about Prem teams eyeing Vinagre the other day on another thread. So here is some good news.

Anyway, in real Wolves' news; we have exclusive options to buy all of our loanees including Vinagre who is allegedly attracting some of the Premier League's "big hitters" as well as Arsenal and Everton.
We may take-up some of those options in January:

Ok I'll say it being as Bute has apparently retired - Stephen (son of Mick) Ward.

Talking of Doc, someone mentioned t'other day that we have no proper cover for Doc at RWB. Does anyone else think that it would be a good idea to get Iorfa back from his loan spell and give him the same coaching as Doc has had. In my humble opinion Iorfa has the potential to be even better than Doc.

DJ & Reenie both deliver before the E&S

Scored all 6 in a 6-1 win for Norwich U16s against Spurs. Wonder why they let him go?

I have thought that before Gem, he has the pace and fitness for the role. However I'm not sure he is as enthused as us by the Nunolution.

I think Iorfa is destined to play in the back three rather than WB, but I agree he could benefit more under the tutor-ledge of Nuno rather than Mick.

No idea what happened over the summer (apart from two of them turning up sh-t faced for training), but there has been a quite deliberate policy to split up Hause, Graham & Iorfa for a period.
