Devil, away games vs Jose doesn't have the aura it use to agreed, but heading to Old Trafford in April it did play on my mind a bit. Maybe more so because we needed a win to keep Tottenham at arms length.
See if I was going to make a comparison between Jose past and present I would imagine him being a guy who………
10 years ago would look at himself in the mirror and actually get a Semi.
I bet he even probably pre-warned his wife that he may scream his own name during the love making
Now I think he’d look in the mirror and think “oh it’s you”.
He lost that something the moment he went to Madrid. He went from being charismatic and somebody you feared coming up against to this strangely bitter, defensive and unlikable man.
As a fan, I loved watching his conferences when he first came to England. He has lost that spark. Not to mean he can't be a success, he has still won league and cup titles since.
I think he has a bit. Wouldn't be surprised to see it return if he goes to PSG in a year or two though. He needs to be the top dog and know it to be really happy and he would be if he went there, at least domestically.
He is still the same helmet he always was.
The only difference is he does not have the media sucking his cory these days, and his schtick is tired.
The managerial Little Britain, or Tony Blair
his record against the top 6 away is unforgivable
Tony Blair is no Jose Mourinho!

Nope, his relationship with the media is broken but that's because he killed it. Something about him has changed. The Chelsea (noughties) & Inter dressing rooms had players mourning when he left, but his two following clubs players pushed him out the door. That's very telling.
And regarding his 'bad guy' gimmick, it's changed dramatically since 2004. He's always gone on the WUM, but he used to have fun doing it. He's always been passive aggressive, but he used to disguise it so much better (usually with surreal analogies). He always seeked to control the media, but he used to influence them with charm/now he tries by force. He also used to be smarter about what he said, very rarely came across as a hypocrite when he was young, now everything he says contradicts itself.

2005 Mourinho could've walked into any nightclub in the world and had his pick by the end of the night.
Present day Mourinho would park his bus by the bar and get wasted

Must have made some seriously dubious picks.....

Look at coaches like Pochettino as well.
Hard to say because he's not had a budget to compete properly, but his Spurs team are exceptional considering what he has spent.

And they've won squat
The whole saga with Eva Canario stunk the place out...he had absolutely no justification for that sorry episode...and was sacked two months too late for us that season
He's never been right since really
I agree with Sheriff about Eva debacle that season.

very good
Jose has finally got the job that he feels he deserved when Fergie retired. His plan was to follow in Fergie's footsteps and lead Utd. to win the PL many times. Other clubs had other ideas. The fact that one of these clubs is close by makes the pain ever worse.
By constantly appearing to be unhappy, the blame for poor results will fall on the shoulders of the players and not himself.
