A few years ago $100 was the dream price for me, I thought best case scenario $150 tops in a 10-20 year timeframe.
I seem to recall a post I made in this topic some months ago when Edbo asked me for my ADA price predictions and if memory serves I said optimistic 10 year prediction was $50 - just found it, 2nd post: https://www.ja606.co.uk/comments/viewAllComments379361/102
I would have to alter that a little bit now, dream price is probably going to be $250 and optimistic 10 year $100-150.
If we look at what is happening, big investors (those that hadn't already) are finally starting to take Cardano seriously and there has been a rush to take profits and reallocate significant amounts of BTC portfolios into ADA which was accelerated in the last 24 hours by Musk. Just look at the increase in trading volume: https://i.postimg.cc/J48YNkQh/image.png
The increased interest from the big players and rise in demand probably has something to do with the recent announcement of 5 million new users being onboarded with DIDs on Atala PRISM in Ethiopia; owing to a deal with the ministry of education, the subsequent press releases in the New York Times etc and the likelihood that this technology will be expanded out to hundreds of millions of Ethiopians over the next few years - as well as other African countries.
I'd say 5 million students arriving on Cardano's Blockchain is pretty impressive for the first major deal, more - hopefully many more - announcements will follow and they will grow bigger in size too.
What really drives price up and ensures it doesn't slip back? Pretty obviously a sustained increase in transactions, therefore also in trading volume and rising demand but the answer to that rhetorical question is also the point. Real world utility is what Cardano is all about and what their focus has been driven by. How many 'users' of Cardano's blockchain are there currently? 10-20m at most I'd say as a rough guess and we're basically sitting at $2. We're now on course to reach 100m, when that happens 1bn won't be a pipe dream anymore, it will be a realistic target.
So can ADA price grow 50x in the next 10 years? Absolutely, only a very small slice of the World's population are currently part of the cryptocurrency revolution. The transfer of wealth into the market over the next decade is going to be huge.

Thanks for this info, its a very interesting read and informative for someone like me who is just getting interested in Crypto.

Though that looks a bit of a hassle and I’m not that technical with crypto, and I’m paranoid about it getting lost in transit.
Might get in touch with them
Is anyone just able to answer a query...
Basically I’ve copied my doge Gemini wallet address and pasted it to the destination address on Crypto.com where I want to withdraw to. It’s sent me an email asking me to confirm the wallet address.
This all looks fine and straightforward, but is there any way to withdraw a small amount just to see if gets deposited successfully? I’m a bit nervous about withdrawing the whole balance in one go
Thanks

Too late for that mate, I've just invested in Cardano. If I can't pay off my mortgage in 10 years I'll come looking for you.
What's your opinion on Ripple? I've bought a bit on the advice of someone I know who has made a fair wedge on Crypto over the last few years. But quite a few on this thread don't seem to think it is a wise investment.

Does anyone trade on Crypto.com here?
When you want to sell crypto, it seems that you can only swap it for another crypto rather that sell for fiat currency
This is a ballache. What happens if the whole market is up and you want to take profits? Since crypto tends to rise and fall in unison, how are you supposed to reinvest if you can receive money when you sell?
Anyone found this ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I use crypto.com. I've not tried to sell or withdraw for FIAT yet but I'm pretty sure you can. I've just had a look at the app.
Menu > Fiat Wallet > Transfer > Withdraw > GBP.
Am I missing something?
Edbo
I just did a test. Sold £100 of doge for ETH (seems there’s a minimum you need to transfer) and attempted to transfer the ETH to my Gemini account. It was successful, but charged me a $9 fee!
I hope that’s a standard charge and not based on the size of the transfer.
I’m just thinking if there’s another slump, ideally you want to be able to sell your crypto for money to reinvest, rather than just another crypto (which is what Crypto.com only seems to allow) which may slump as you’re trying to take profits.
Sorry mate just read your post in it’s entirety
Go to sell. It only seems to let you sell in exchange for another crypto
Are you not finding that ?
Although says something called TrueGBP...

As I said I've not tried to sell yet, but it looks to me like I can sell crypto and withdraw fiat to my bank account.
There are always YouTube tutorials for this kind of stuff.

Coinbase is the easiest for directly withdrawing
Easy on Binance, convert crypto to GBP then transfer to your bank a/c. £1.50 a pop.

Look again. You can definitely withdraw fiat to your bank. Have done it a few times. Generally money in your account within 24 hours.
The only thing I can think of is...have you paid money into your account from your bank of just bought with credit card? Might be that you need to validate your account in some way.
RBS/Natwest also accept payment from crypto exchanges. I think that problem is vastly overstated.

Thanks for your message.
I’ve only ever bought directly from my account, not deposited funds first. What I was more querying was selling crypto. It seems that you can only sell crypto for other crypto, but I looked today and it seems you can sell it for ‘TrueGBP’. I’m not entirely sure what the difference between TrueGBP and GBP but I’m assuming it’s a stable currency that you can withdraw into your bank account.
You can convert your coins to USDT then swap that for GDP on most platforms.
Yeah thanks Boris I think I can do that

Had a few beers so theres the gist of it.
You sell and pay it to your fiat wallet.
Then you Transfer.. that gives you the options to deposit it withdraw.
Keep looking because it's very easy to get cash out if you want it.
Let me know and I'll look at the exact process if you're still having problems.
