Once I have got a few more jars of Tesco YE, I will put the 1/10th ful jar of Marmite somewhere, and see what happens.
Don't know if it magically turns to stone when it hits his sell-by date.
You know what goes rock solid after its sell-by-date? Honey! Had a few jars of it, used half of it, came back couple of months later and not even god himself could stick a knife in it

It does go hard over winter. But even after ages it softens up a fair bit when the warm weather comes.

If Squid was still a paid up member of JA 606 and reading this he would literally combust.
Of course he could still be lurking in which case you guys are all toast.
Speaking of which, hot buttered toast spread very thinly with Marmite is the way to go. For a special treat cut the toast into soldiers, and dip into a softly boiled egg. Delish!
