Yes
I just hope Kane didn’t do to much damage to himself yesterday as imo it was stupid to play him if his not fit .
We need to get Dele back to his best as ita getting annoying watching him go to group at the slightest touch , as well as watching him throw his arms around when he facks up. I think a short spell on the bench may do the trick.

Dele may not be in the best of form but he still comes up with some important goals, especially at Wembley. Are we already forgetting the opening goal again Real Madrid, that set Spurs on their way, just a couple of weeks back?

It shouldn’t be an issue for a side sitting near the top of the league.

Spurs do, but then so do the other teams around the top, and there are a lot of head to heads, so will be very surprised if Spurs are not around 2nd/3rd come New Years Day, they seem to have the easier fixture list in the run up until then.
Last season you had Ali and Son scoring goals for fun and that meant no heavy dependency on Kane.
So far these two players have not found the same goal scoring form...............if they do (i think they probably will) then Spurs will get a good run going again...
But it does not look like any of us will be catching City
Dele has 7 goals in all competitions so far this season
CL and FA Cup take top priority now. I mean carry on as normal in the league in the hopes of top 4 but don't jeopardise CL or FA Cup games over league games when the time comes, and we need to make sure we finish top in our CL group to give us the best chance of progressing.
Ideally we want to win something and finish top 4 but if I had to pick one out of the two it would be winning something.
Think we need to take CL football into the new stadium Tbh so I would prioritise that which isn’t something I’d normally say.
The vultures are circling around our players too so we need to have the carrot of CL football
You'll have to rotate players between now and Xmas Sandy or the 11 you want played in every game won't be able to walk come January.
Dont use excuses for players. They had enough time to prepare for that game. The players who played were fit to play but we had them under control.

Vultures will be circling even with CL football, and players, as we've seen with Kyle Walker, won't always see it as enough to want to stay.
I think for the fans' sake, it's better to win something going into the new stadium. That would be more a statement of progression than another top 4 place without winning something. But again, ideally, top 4 and winning something would be a great scenario.

Like I say I’m normally all for going for a cup and obviously I’m not advocating completely giving up on them but for me it’s imperative with have CL next season.
Yep vultures will still come in but if we can only offer Europa then some of these players will be off like a shot ( Toby I’d put in this category )

Going into the new stadium without CL football would be at best a short term disaster imo. The pressures and negative outcomes would set us back years in our ambitions to be a consistent challenger at the top.
Knowing us tho we will probably get to the final and lose while finishing fifth.

If that happens then so be it, it can't be helped. Need to keep Poch and Kane here more importantly and I think we will regardless of what we do. Other players I'm not so sure about no matter whether we go trophyless or top 4less.
At least we won't have the League Cup to add to the priorities.
I am with Hengy on this one, normally I would priortise a trophy over top four, but it is essential be in the new Stadium, with CL on offer. I think Spurs will get CL with a bit to spare, sure they will lose the odd match, but I expect very few home losses now, and Spurs are well capable of getting at least a dozen away wins. So should be fine.
Bottom line is Spurs these days very, very rarely get beaten by any team other than those from around the top four.
CL for next season is essential going into the new stadium and for retaining and attracting important players. Of course a trophy would be lovely but whilst we are in and around the top four places the PL should still be our priority for a CL place.
Even if we prioritize the Cups, the chances are we won`t win one of them, it is just not what Spurs do these days, we don`t win trophies, it`s not in the clubs DNA anymore is seems, sadly.
CL is essential for us to keep improving imo, also it has a negative effect on one of our rivals.
