Dunno if anyone has noticed but on Saturday 18th November) we attained 38 points.
Last season it took until 11th March to achieve that !!!!
So long as we keep above that 2 point a game ratio it doesn't matter what anyone else does!
38 points by the 11th of March..........Jesus!
44 points by Saturday hopefully
two points average is all i am looking at, don't really look at the table and at this moment we are 4 points above that average and need 8 more points from the next 6 games which is a very healthy position to be in.

Wolves U23s v Norwich U23s looks like a fixture worth watching. Drew 3-3 two weeks ago in a cup game. Another 6 goals tonight in a league game with Wolves winning 4-2. Seedorf, Wilson, Goodliffe and Collins scoring. Wolves up from 10th to 8th in the league. Albion adrift at the bottom with 4 points from 12 games
Averaging 2 points a game is no guarantee of promotion. Finishing top 2 is.
Example, Cardiff have 34 points from 17 games and are out of the automatic promotion places!
It's a guide, no more, no less.
If we maintain two points a game we will be promoted unless we witnessed something that has never come close to happening before.

Averaging 2 points a game is no guarantee of promotion. Finishing top 2 is.
---------------------------------------------
Factually incorrect.
Ever since this league extended it's games to 46 per season in the 1992-93, 92 points HAS guaranteed promotion.
Many teams have averaged 2 points a game during the early part of a season, but very few end up with the required 92 in May. In fact many sides have gone up with less than 90.
sunny I posted that link on your thread not sure if its any use or if we're streaming the game for ex-pats but Leeds are
I saw that, but once posters put up their predictions they usually don't come back on, so not sure it was that wise to post it on there. I did notice you posted it on another one tho'.
Don't forget your predictions.

Technically it isn't factually incorrect, as it is possible for more than two teams to average 2 points per game. He never stated it had happened previously. Just because it hasn't happen previously doesn't mean it isn't possible.
It makes promotion highly likely, but as Terry said, it is a guide not a guarantee. There are always firsts in sports, one season 3 teams could get 90+ points. The only real guarantee is finishing in the top two.

yep - factually correct
it is a fact that every team since 1993 that has finished with 92 points or more has been promoted
it is NOT a fact that 92 points guarantees you promotion
given that it is only a couple of years ago that we missed out on the play offs with the highest score ever to finish outside the top 6, i'd prefer a top 2 finish with 80 points than third with 93
