Swen will not loan players to any club above them because they are scared stiff of not getting promotion.

We just god rid of the taff, why would we want a 34yo sven reject?
Move forward not back!
"Derby v Forest is the only East Midlands derby and it stands alone as one of the highlight fixtures of the season.
Leicester just don't matter. It is a fact of life."
You keep telling yourself that. The thing is Derby and Forest fans spin the tired old "we dont care about Leicester" line and expect us to get angry and start crying about it. We couldnt care less if you hate us, love us, are jealous of us, find yourself sexually attracted to us, it really doesnt matter. If we hate you then thats all that counts.
Besides I went to both the Forest and Derby games at the King Power last season (easy wins without any goals conceded) and let me just say that the away fans of both teams didnt seem to share your opinion...
Shot - you talk of jealousy yet it is you who has appeared on here this week of all weeks.
You sound like you want to play but no-one is letting you.
So, with regard to the question you keep avoiding. Do you think your owners have the financial capacity and will power to take you to the top of the Prem and be a houshold name in the far east?
Yes. First off we have invested in a lot of new players as everyone knows. But more to this, we have had the training ground rebuilt, added screens at the stadium, completely revamped the club shop and ticket offices. A lot of people ridicule the fact that our ground has been renamed the King Power, but this shows if anything the owners long term plans. It is a 10 year deal. I know there has been a lot of trouble with takeovers going wrong. Notts County and Portsmouth being 2 examples. But these owners are not like that. They are paying for all of this from thier own pockets, not from the club. We have a new chief executive whos main objective is to make the club a self-sustainable model.
But as you know from our indifferent start to the campaign, money does not guarantee success. If we were to fail on promotion this season, it will make things difficult granted but it wont ruin the club like some people seem to think.
I think what is happening here is people are just presuming its another one of those takeovers with owners who dont care and just want a playtoy. It really isnt like that.
Ive just checked the BBC website and Eriksson is says Oakley is not going to Derby so this thread may be a waste of time lol!!!
Shot,
It's not tired old spin. Derby & Forest don't consider Leicester to be their rivals because they are not. Leicester do consider Derby and Forest to be their rivals and that is what's laughable.
Next to Forest, Leeds are probably Derby's rivals. Leicester are not rivals of Derby County, they are meaningless to Derby County, plankton of the footballing foodchain.

On to more important matters,
We could be up against Tudguy tomorrow. Provided his wife's in check these days, of course!
Shot.
Promotion and sustainability are not easy bedfellows.
If you get promoted the costs shoot up even higher.
It's great they've invested in the stadium, a large screen is just another thing our owners promised but didn't deliver.
I am totally against money being chucked at a club to guarantee success, and i hope 'for the good of the game' that doesn't happen with you lot.
Man City winning the league means nothing. You get my point?

Only one game on our minds at the mo, you do understand, might be even cheaper closer to the game, if we nose dive.
