They also got played off the park at Wembley by a far superiour team
man city should of won last night. they dominated possesion for the majority of the game, hit the bar/post a few times. chelsea and united didn't exactly play out of their skin on tues & weds but got a result. a lot of that is down to their experience in CL. you have to remeber for players like barry, milner, harte, kompany, lescott, dzeko etc this is their first CL campaign. the group stages of the CL are all about gettin through. doesn't matter how. its the knockout stages when you'll be able to judge city
"its the knockout stages when you'll be able to judge city"
If they get there???
There group is pretty tough and dropping points at home means you need an away win, guarenteed.
Personally i think they'll struggle.... Bayern and Napoli to go through from that group
i agree with albert morgan ...if you dont pick up your performances in europe you'll be playing channel 5 football in feb march..you have a tough group and a draw against napoli(3rd best team in the group) at home is by no means a good result..bayen munich will be a tougher nut to crack!!
sorry thought irish rover was a city fan that why kept saying you..my bad!!
3 home wins and an away point is what most team aim for (the magical 10 points)
Away results are a bonus and are very hard to come by, wherever you go in Europe!
I disagree, I think City will improve as they progress, and I think their squad will push United, Chelsea, and all others in all competitions this year
I watched them tear Spurs a new one, the only reason that did not splash across every paper in the land was down to Arsenals woefull showing against United the same day.
City are the real deal people, write them off at your peril

When they're clicking they're the most dangerous team in the PL imo, just got too many attacking options that complement each other. That's the intriguing aspect of this season's PL, for the first time in a while three teams will genuinely be thinking their chances of winning the title are fantastic aslong as they do their jobs.
I'm totally with you on the media's perception that the Manchester clubs are untouchable being a load of tosh, anyone whose watched the PL the last six years shouldn't be foolish enough to make such a ridiclous statement. Not unwelcome, we've always been happier out of the spotlight even before Roman, just surpising from a bunch of so-called experts.
Their defence was very shaky. Everytime Napoli countered it looked like they were going to score. Kompany had a bad game. Perhaps it's due to them being nervous in their first CL match.
For me City are still better than United, the latter are being over hyped
I agree wutg Blue Kenyan, City for me are the best team in the league, individually having the best players...
However collectively I feel they aren't quite as good as either Chelsea or Utd, they have great strength and depth, but their team chemistry isn't the same as Chelsea or Utd
I think City have the most depth which is crucial but like us United have that experience and team work which is the most important thing if you are to win the league. IMO its City who are being over hyped since they have not achieved nothing besides having class indivuduals, this is a reason why I understand Citys hype, however I aint buying it.
United have brushed aside everything City have thrown at them to date so for that reason I think its fair to say United are the number 1s in Manchester.
