Being a nob apart. If you like slow games, dark souls 3 is awesome, as is bloodborne, but very, very, very hard. Sort of game that's on the verge of making you demented, but at the same time making you congratulate yourself when you beat a boss. (Very boss centric). Cleverly designed, and always fair to a degree. But, as I said hard, but rewarding.

Hack and slash type game, very good combat mechanics, simple but effective. Haven't played baldwrs gate but imagine clsest to.

Been playing mass effect andromeda. Not as good as previous games but a combo of rpg , shooting, exploring. Quite good fun, and probably fits the slower vibe your after.

I hear the game with mechanical donosaurs and robots (can't remember the name) is top notch and that sounds a bit less frantic. Horizon dawn or something.

Alternatively you can't go wrong with last of us or uncharted (think Indiana jones).

Heard it's good. Looked a bit slow and vast for me, but have heard good things. Dark souls is somewhat similar, but harsher with better combat elements. Reall is a top gane when you get into it (and for a non gamer generally, that took some doing, but worth it-my favourite games now).

That said, last of us has been out for a while so for an original game should be cheap (even 2nd hand) and that's a brilliant slow burn story based game. Got horror and survival elements, post apocalyptic. Bit of shooting and a bit of creeping around, didn't find it too hard, and everyone has it as one of their fav games. It really is rather good.

That's coming from someone that hates shooters like cod too. Google some review and vids, see what suits you.

Looking at your past you are basically looking for an RPG by the looks of it.

Final fantasy 15 would probably be worth a shout
Last time I checked practically ever single star ocean game is currently on sale in the market place

Have you being getting the free playstation plus games, cause you have just cause 3, infamous: second son and metal gear V all for free in the past couple of months, all of which are well worth a play

If your after a challenge get I Am Bread , this game will make you want to kill your self , it’s so shat but so good at the same time.

Basically your a slice of bread and have to turn yourself into toast .

At the moment I’m getting games that were rated poorly but are actually very good.

Are the graphics that much better compared to last gen ?
I only ask cause imo the graphics were top notch when I had it on my Xbox 360.

Late 1940's Batty but yeah that's the one. I loved the setting and the pace. Picked up occasionaly when you joined the Vice Squad but a lot was collecting clues, building up a case etc.

Not sure how good the new graphics are Ed, I haven't played the remaster yet. I was responding to the OP about slower paced games. I will get to it though, just the too busy for a lot of gaming at the moment. Any time I do get, I'm on Lost Legacy

get skyrim.... not the best elder scrolls, not by a long shot but defo still worth playing. Plenty of time can be spent on that game. Get it for buttons now with all the DLC.

Uncharted 4

Even if you haven't played the other 3, you can pick up the story no problem. Nice controls that lend themselves to not staring at the floor or sky too much. Great story and plenty of time for you to stop and look around (it's a beautiful game too, so make sure you do). Good distinction between difficulty levels, so you can soon find out what you need it set at.

Im playing assassins creed origins at the mo. Havent played an ac game since 3 but really enjoying it.
There are tons of things to do and the map is utterly huge.
So many side quests i havent done many of the main missions yet
Best thing ive done is tame a hippo and got it to fight alongside me Was a sad day when he finally fell in battle

I thought about getting AC Origins, will wait for a drop in price. Really liked the first one, and didn't try one again until the recent London one, which I didn't really care for.

My mate loves AC and has been playing Origins since its release. He said he trained a Nile croc and an hour or so later was ambushed by some thugs when out of the reeds jumped his croc to kill them all

Horizon zero dawn for sure, what a truly awesome game that is! Also I would definitely recommend AC origins aswel, I’d say that’s the best AC game I have played!

Have just started Uncharted bought the Series pack . I'll be Honest its perfect for me. Right balance of puzzles, shooting and humour. Really enjoying it and its very pretty too. Modern day Tomb Raider.

posted on 9/12/17

Uncharted is wicked, all of them. 2nd and 3rd are by far the best.

That said, funny you mention tomb raider as the reboots are pretty damn like uncharted, maybe not quite as good for me, but other prefer them. Both are top ganes, no doubt, so there always that once you finish UC.
