Football will be better than under TP. Much better win % ratio and got manager of the year when he guided Toon to 5th in 12/13. He also got 2 unfancied teams to FA Cup finals.

Lets get behind him.

I hope you enjoy watching Championship football.

Pardew has been rubbish ever since he took Newcastle to 5th though.

I’m sorry for your loss

Could be worse. You could be a Hammer or an Everton supporter.

From a footballing perspective he's better than Pulis but then who isn't.

I expect him to keep us up this season but I have grave doubts about his long term prospects.

P.S. I also think the bloke is a detestable jeb end!

Oh, and if he starts doing some sort of daft dance in his technical area i'll be campaigning for Pulis's return!

Apparently a very good coach and runs good sessions which players enjoy.

Did you see why he got sacked from the BBC? Then there was the headbut. Also apparently was balling some of the players wives at Southampton. The dances. Just a bit of a nobhead really.

TBF, if we go 1-0 up in a cup final...i'll let him jump in to the fans and finger me.

Awful choice. Will be good for about three months before the inevitable never ending plummet to the bottom 3. Happens everywhere he goes

Pretty much spot on.

Hopefully we'll play some good stuff this season, stay up and then the club will get to sack him at the end of the season when he's 'exposed' as a 'John Leslie'!

Pardew isn't my first choice, but in the same way I didn't want Pulis I knew at the time he was probably what was needed, and that's how I feel at the moment.

I really like that he's making positive noises.... talking about attacking the top 10, getting on the front foot and saying there is a desire to win a cup.

As has been said actions speak louder than words, but it's refreshing to hear our head coach talking about looking upwards rather than saying how 40 points is all that matters.

He wasn't my first choice (or 2nd or 3rd) but will focus on the positives.

1. Decent win percentage
2. Good record in the cups.
3. As streaky as he is, if we can string 4-5 wins together somewhere it will probably keep us up.
4. He's not one of the O'Neill's
5. Better still he's not Pulis.

Already enjoying the fact we're going in to games to try and win.

West Ham, Southampton and Crystal Palace will be kicking themselves for having let him go.

Cave man football awaits

Just another Pulis type manger but with a few bells and whistles ......gonna be a tuff winter. Big Sam was the only viable option of a bad bunch, incidentally his team are comfortably winning 2-0. Hope you stay up

No if you appointed mourinho I'd say you would be getting a bus parking defensive manager who wins key games.

But you haven't appointed mourinho have you? You've appointed Alan facking Pardew.

Joke club

£50 says Swansea get Pulis by Crimbo.....which would be the icing on the orrrgy cake........I remember us having these has been managers.......
