It was a masterclass in counter attacking football from Utd, deserved winners on the day. And other than the lacazette/Sanchez double save De Gea didn't really have a difficult stop to make. Welbeck was a stonewall pen though, shocking decision.

I agree with the masterclass in counter attacking. Martial,Lindgard and Pogba are turning out to be your best players to play the kind of football Mourinho wants.
Your defence though thats not a masterclass in defending.Granted those are not your best defenders but I feel you need an extra body in midfield for the game against City. No way you play Matic and whoever will partner him.
I actually think as long as Bailey and Jones are out you are better off playing a back 4 and putting an extra midfield to avoid being pinned back by City
Masterclass behave.
We played well defensivley, and took our chances. Masterclass pushing it too far.
Koscielny also escaped a red card for a text book red card 3 second challenge without the ball. No idea how that didn't meet the criteria of deliberately denying a goal scoring opportunity.
We didn't even play well defensively in the first half. Was wretched

according to the rule book the player must be in a clear path "towards goal" for it to be defined as a goal scoring opportunity. If there is doubt then its a yellow

1 - Distance from goal - 45 yards out.
2 - Direction of play - Diagonal towards the touchline
3 - Is the player in control of the ball - Yes.
4 - Cover - Bellerin would have got round easily
So 3 out of 4 things refs are told to consider go against a red card.
You also missed out a very important word in your post - OBVIOUS. It has to be an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

United conceded 33 shots on goal. That's not a master class by any stretch. A lot of luck, and clinical finishing won the game for United.

And they also only had 4 shots despite us playing 2 at the back for 80 minutes. A team like City or Liverpool would have absolutely destroyed us if we took the same approach against them.
To be fair for the title race to be interesting Man Utd have to win pretty much 80% of our remaining games.
We had our two best CB's out. Arsenal may have lost by 6 if they had their 2 best out. Of course our defence came under pressure.

You had £31m Lindelof, £16m Rojo and £10m Smalling being protected by £40m Matic and £83m Pogba.
And? How does their value detract from the fact Bailly and Jones (when he's fit) are our best two?
Kompany only cost £6m so going off your theory Mangala and Otamendi are better than him when he's actually fit.
We played a good team in good form with a fearsome front 3 and won without our best two CB's. We also have the best defence in the league.
Well it is not like you are plucking kids from the under 16s is it.
Also Rojo has started the majority of games he has been available for over the last few seasons. Smalling, too, starts more often than not when fit.
There is no fact that Jones is in your best two that is opinion - and not one necessarily shared by your managers in his United career.
And I never said better - I would expect City to cope with Mangala and Otamendi in defence, and City not be under the pressure United were.

I was wondering who the feck he was talking about
Not really sure what the value of players has to do with it. We were without our starting CB partnership for the season so far, that have seen us have the best defence (despite being second highest scorers, so not that defensive).
We were always going to be shakey st the back with those changes and Rojo only just back from 6 months of injury.
Ozil, Sanchez and Lacazette is probably the most expensive front 3 in the league, so maybe they should take the blame a bit more rather than most fans saying Lacazette had a great game. If he’d had a great game you’d have won.
We were always going to be shakey st the back with those changes
=======
No changes were made though
Smalling has played the last 14 games in a row!! That little fact seems to be missing from the stance you two seem to be taking.
Ozil, Sanchez and Lacazette is probably the most expensive front 3 in the league,
=======
Lukaku and Martial alone cost the same
The midfield pair that was protecting your defence is easily the most expensive pair in the world though...
Going on the logic on here since our win, we deserved to win the league under LVG with all the losses and draws we had more possession and shots in.

Aye? Random rant.
Remember west brom beating us after getting mullered under LVG 1st season and draw away as well. We also dominated Chelsea home and away first season. In fact LVG 1st season was strange we won games we were crap in and lost or drew games we had 2-4x as many shots as the opposition.
