Laca is on course to beat Girouds season best in his first season, yet he is still getting abuse. If Laca is not good enough, more so Giroud. When we signed Laca I said I would wait to judge him and will give him to the end of the season and possibly into next season before I do as he has attributes which could make him work.

I said when we signed Laca that I preferred Aubameyang and always have; I see nothing that makes me think I was wrong to want PEA.

Its stupid to compare Giroud and Laca because Giroud played his entire career at Arsenal with an extra attacker. Laca is playing in a defensive formation. The main tactic of 3-4-3, Chelsea et al is to keep it tight and allow one of your creative players to score something. Its not a shock that an Italian brought it back into favour, and an Argy is the only other manager who plays it more often.

Frankly we need to go back to 4-3-2-1 and see if Lacazette can be the top striker we spent £50m for.

He wont be effective and will struggle because if our passing and crossing into the final third is like that today and we are not moving quicker any striker will struggle.

We won't know it Wenger tries and sticks to it for a few games in a row.

You only have to look at how we bashed a top team like Man Utd after we changed formation. And that was with Iwobi and Welbeck who are not the top two midfield attackers at Arsenal.

And that was after we gave Man Utd a 2-0 head start which made is amazingly difficult to come back against a Mourinho coached defensive team.

*We won't know until Wenger tries and sticks to it for a few games in a row.

Sanchez is clearly not giving 100%. Lost the ball far too many times almost like he does it on purpose. Another defender assisting for their goal. Just clear the ball for a change!

Yet Laca already has half the goals of Girouds best two seasons where he got 16 league goals and its less than half way through his first season.

Alexis is clearly giving 100%

He just isn’t playing well. He is constantly trying to force the issue. Dribbling when he shouldn’t. Ambitious passes that aren’t on. Shooting when he shouldn’t (not today but has happened all season).

There is no creativity in the team so he is taking the onus upon himself to be the driving force. It just isn’t coming off for him

Hes partly a victim of the change in formation. With less attacking players he is trying to carry the ball more when there is no one available to pass to to make things happen. Watch for it and you will se what I mean.

They say love is blind and it certainly is with you. YOu cant see how averaghe he is because of your love for him, but Im sure Ive said that before.

Giroud is a great option off the bench and I wouldn’t be against him making the odd start alongside Lacazette

Lacazette hasn’t pulled up many trees so far but then Giroud has been poor this season in the limited playing time he has been given

Well, maybe you're right but I don't think I remember Sanchez being so slow and wasteful. He's not even going into good positions anymore
