Some good points.

A lot of is mental - the players will go to City knowing that they are facing the best team in the league on the best ever PL run of wins.

That is very daunting.

If Poch really gets them believing that we can compete then I'm sure we can, our team can beat anyone on their day and when everyone is on the top of their game.

Really looking forward to it

As we DON'T have Victor and Toby playing for us tomorrow, we're very likely to lose! Having them in first 11 would make it difficult for City to create many goalscoring chances. But I wouldn't be surprised if City score minimum of 3 goals!

Beating City home or away has not been very hard in the Prem era, so no reason they cannot win again.

I don`t think Winks can start tomorrow, to many sideways and backwards stuff. Really need to go toe to toe with City, which means forward thinking passes. None of the slow turgid stuff that was on show against Brighton.

On the mentality point...... Its a free hit for us. We have major injuries, away from home, massive underdogs. Unlike poor teams who go to City to defend, the reality is, we are a decent team, Pep respects our style of play and they know we have the players to hurt them.... Zero pressure on us

I'd agree with this to a point, you're right...

... but at the same time, we're a team who are trying to be taken seriously as PL contenders. If we turn up and get a pasting, it will reinforce the reputation from a few years ago that we aren't ready to compete and are a bit fragile.

So I'd argue that there is pressure on us to prove that we have progressed.

The league is pretty much gone already, let's be honest, but if we lose then it will have an effect on the players belief for the rest of the season.

I would add that City have been having some luck on their side, with some very late winners. Their luck can't last forever. We on the other hand haven't had the best luck with our injury record, and the lack of any penalties.

Midfield is defo gonna be the problem. Both sets of FBs attack, Aguero & Kane will defo fancy their chances against depleted defenses, both teams have plenty of creativity (Silva, DeBruyne, Dele, Eriksen, Sonny, Lamela, Sane, Sterling) I think it all comes down to the middle of the park..... Dembele has to have a monster of a game !!!

I dont know if we have the players available but do you risk the back 3 (Jan, Foyth, Davies as 3 CBs) to allow Dier to play further forward so we can dominate the midfield and let Rose attack walker higher up the field ???... Risky !!!!

No reason not to go for it....

Lloris
Tripps Dier verts Rose
Dembele Alli
Christian. Kane Son
Llorente

Why not! Target man for Tripps crosses. I'd be surprised if Poch is as brave with his selection. Lamela to come maybe.

After all, City only play Fernandinho as anywhere near a defensive midfield player....let's just go for it!

haha..... Love It !!!!! could easily see us losing 9-8 with that side, but why not. Part of me likes the idea of Dele in a midfield 2. Great athlete, can be the perfect box to box player. I don't think he sees enough of the ball playing in a 3 behind Kane but his retention of possession in dangerous areas (see Dembele) would have to improve ! As with all Spurs formations without Victor.. Dembele has to a stormer !!!!

There's no luck in keeping going with the clock ticking and getting rewarded, maybe once, but to do it repeatedly is as far from luck as it gets.

We did a lot last season too, and it was ultimately the difference between keeping you at arms length and it being an intense race to the wire.

Didn't Sterling score 2 late winners via deflections?

Not to mention the luck City have had with their draws in Europe compared to us.

It takes a lot of mental ability to keep going as normal as time is running out. The trap most teams fall into is putting an extra forward/big CB up top, hoof it aimlessly and shoot from unrealistic area's. City keep probing and playing like they normally do, stay patient, never panic and get rewarded.

Even if the goals itself were deflection's, to get so many late winners points to incredible mental ability.
