Yes, that was a point Laws has made over recent years when he has been commentating on RN. They have been a bit too passive at times. Mancienne has been captain and he is a very quiet character. Shouting and bawling isn’t the be all and end all but a bit of assurance and cajoling does work wonders in team sports.

Forest have had some captains in the passed who could bring that to the team, from the obvious like Pearce and Cooper to the likes of Breckin and Des Walker in more recent times.

What’s going on with Vaughan at the moment? Is he injured? I like Cash but not sure if he’s the answer to the DM position or RB for that matter. Think Osborn is probably best alongside Bridcutt until Vaughan comes back. It’s a position we need to strengthen in Jan along with a LB (as ever) and another CB.

Enjoyable 1st half, as RN are saying, but I do wish Murphy would do a bit more. Every time we got a cross in, it was never Murphy on the end of it, Worrall, Dowel or Eric seem to be there.

Osborn has worked so hard up and down the left side the whole of the half.

I can’t recall Murphy threatening from too many set pieces this season either. Some players just don’t read the ball as easily as when it is from live play, I guess?
