My only issue with Poch is that he has built a big strong physical side, who are often hard to watch (they really are) who don't always play beautiful football. But they do have brilliant players from back to front. A decent keeper (no better than that), the best centre back in the league (Alderweireld), excellent full backs (any two of four), the best young attacking midfielder in the league (even if he's a bit of a WUM) and the best striker bar none.
I appreciate his brilliance and what he's done with a very small relative budget. And I know we're hardly exciting to watch under Jose. But there really isn't any flair or anything remotely exciting when watching Spurs play imo. Small criticism but a big one if people really care about aesthetics

A lot of very good players. That some are stagnating or going backwards is a coaching issue, surely?
Dunc, are you really trying to back up Jose on this? Opposition fans are right to be in the wum on this, Jose has gone to far with this, it's a ridiculous thing to say, and shows he can't hack it without an open chequebook-as that's what he's admitting.
I actually think it's a balance between spending and then what you do with those players.
Spurs have a team that should have won something by now, but for some reason are failing.
We have a team capable of more in my opinion, but tactics are possibly holding us back.

Chequebook Spendrinho is massively under achieving at Moneybags United, he`s starting to lose the dressing room imo, criticizing his own players and asking for more money to spend, he`ll be gone soon enough.
I don't think people should be looking at what he said as it's clearly ridiculous and Jose knows it. It's why he said it. He's trying to force the owners into spending even more money. That's the only way he has ever worked. Spend more than the opposition. His tactics won't work unless he has the best players.
Maybe he should try adopting his tactics now that he's up against a club that can outspend him. It's what every other club has to do to try compete.
It is often said a room full of monkeys hammering randomly at typewriters, given enough time, will eventually write the complete works of Shakespeare. So on that principle a few more billions and United must surely, eventually, buy a decent player.
