One half decent CB ain’t going to sort out that shambolic defence.

We’ve had the best defence for 2 seasons now. And it’s better than LFCs despite missing many key men long term. So yes. It is one of the best out there although had a couple problems this season.

It's the type of player VVD is. He ticks all the boxes we need. We concede from balls in the air, he's excellent in the air. Our defenders turn like oil tankers, he's quick. We pass the ball out, he's excellent on the ball and bringing it out.
Laporte would be a bigger gamble.

He says he does......but they'll be replaced. Just like Lovren is being replaced as we speak. Mignolet is just average with the odd mistake in him.....saves a lot of pens though. He'll do for now but needs replacing before the start of next season. Karius is alright as back up

Hengy, is he really that great? I have seen very little of him I must admit, but he came from the Scottish Premiership, which is easy to look good in. Has he really blossomed into a £75 million player whilst at Southampton.

The transfer fee is excessive but this signing goes some way to remediate one of their main problem areas.
So I’m that sense, they are at least moving in the right direction.
I’m just not sure why they didn’t by him for £10m from Celtic in the first place
