26 isn't that old, especially for a centre back. He has a good 6 years left in him

PS3 or Xbox?

Btw, has anyone noticed how much Koscielny has improved vocally? He communicates with the players around him much more. Looking at last season, I'd say the only thing he needed to improve was his leadership skills. Now I can safely say he's done that.

Koscielny >> Me

Kocielny is a top defender no doubt.

It's good having Mertersacker next to him. I think Koc can get done a bit too easily at times by skill, like v Gotze, but he did stop Messi last season.

Think its cos he's concentrating more on his aerial ability which has surprised me a lot this season.

Koscielny is the best one on one tackler I've ever seen. His tackling in general is just immense.

It annoys me when people say Vermaelen is better than him, when Kozza is quite clearly a more complete defender.

And yeah, his heading has also improved. His heading was already quite good anyway, but he's added to that this season.

Top, top defender.

Kamran do you remember that incredible slide tackle block he made in the second half? And then he got up and jumped from a standing start to head the ball away under pressure!

At that moment I gave Koscielny a big

Yeah grey cells, he's very flexible and fast.

I love Koscielny. He's brilliant

Since we've had Koscielny, Vermaelen and Djourou we've actually had some very good central defensive partnerships. Our weak areas have been at right back and in defensive midfield. When opposition players are free to pick up the ball, turn and run at our back four we're going to struggle, which is why when both Song and Frimpong were out we looked so frail at the back.

Song is great when he stays in his position, but unfortunately our midfielders seem to willing to take risks and bomb forwards and we often get caught out this way. It's nice to see Mertersacker there because he can offer some assurance to our defenders, but people slagging off our defending are ignoring the progress we've made over the last 12-18 months.

Set piece defending has improved over the summer, but that was dire last season, so it really had to. It's still our achilles heel imo. Also, we let too many crosses into the box, and let wingers put a cross in without a challenge, giving them the opportunity to pick out a man. Reacting to players on the edge of the box is still too slow - again we saw it against Dortmund. Yes, they're less likely to score from there, but United and Chelsea players will throw themselves in front of those because they don't want to take the chance.

Our midfielders too often get sucked into the six yard box instead of getting out to the guys on the edge. Overall though, we are slowly getting better, and the Dortmund game we looked fairly comfortable against a good attacking side.

"Kamran - give it a miss on the Kos worship will you ?! He's an average defender at best and would not get near being included at any other top EPL team ..."

You really are a clueless mong. I won't even bother debating with you.
