How come big spurs are not on this mini league table for god sake they beat Real Madrid just recently
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both teams largely irrelevant at the moment.
All this shows is the current points per game total for each team
People would argue black is white if it meant defending their club

damn! Yet another trophy Spurs have missed out on.
Well done all the rest for winning the "We have more average points per game than other teams half way through a season" Trophy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As opposed to celebrating the 'Top Scorer in a Calendar Year of goals that were ultimately meaningless' trophy that was widely celebrated a week or 2 ago on the Spurs board? Don't get me wrong, I think Kane is a great talent but it seems that some tables you choose to agree with and some you don't. New Year is a good time for these tables which are really just light hearted but show an indication of the way things are, but no more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair, its the media who bigged up the calendar year thing. The pre-match chat vs Saints was all about Kane's record breaking attempt.
I suppose at least a calendar year is a tangible thing. The media drum this up and the fans lap it up. It was not a thing made up by Spurs, which is entirely different the OPs thread which is a snap shot over a random period of time and could read very differently after games played tonight, thursday etc. Indeed Spurs play 3 times before LFC next do, for example, so it could all read very differently.
Just goes to show how cac the mid-low end of Seria A is.
"which is entirely different the OPs thread which is a snap shot over a random period of time"
Agreed, if anything he got lucky that from any time in the history of the world, the 'random' snap shot he landed on from the start of the current season to date.

I think it is the mid season break for a few of the leagues, and the mid season breaking point for many players in the PL, so it sort of makes sense. Unlike 4 games in 10-12 days or whatever it has panned out to be.
OP
I dunno why your laughing at Spurs and Arsenal for as your gonna win Feck all either

Well indeed. Goes to show that a snap shot gives little in the way of meaningful information, particularly across different leagues of differing characteristics.

It's not supposed to have some kind of bigger hidden meaning, it's literally what it says it is in the OP. A table, based on this season to date (a relevant time frame), in ranking order of points amassed per game.

I thought it'd be interesting to combine the English, French, German, Italian and Spanish league tables into 1 as it would give an indication on who is heading into the new year in the best form.
As games played varies from league to league (some teams have only played 16, others 22) I've arranged the order on average points per game, this is the table:

I don't remember that one! Don't remember the 61 one either.Do remember a great City side under one on the greatest managers of all time winning a lot in the late 60's. Joe Mercer was a great manager at a time when a foreign player meant one from Scotland.
