Don't worry too much Waggy. Any organisation of size will have an organisation chart so that, for example, a Head of Recruitment will have a number of people reporting to him. So Frank McParland would have had a Deputy Head and various Regional Heads (Scotland, North, Midlands, Iberia, Scandinavia). For the next few days the senior member of Frank's staff who is still at the club will be running the recruitment side. Signings will be delayed until a new manager or HofR is appointed.
If no appointments are made in the next week/ten days then it might begin to enter the critical phase.
If we do make signings I would take that as a sign that the appointment of a new manager is also imminent.
Won’t all of his these scouts work for McParland and would have left when he did?

I suspect that that will be the future structure, but I have my doubts that it runs like that at the moment.
We have five coaches at the club and that includes the academy goal keeping coach. That's to run how many teams, three, four? Board need to make some appointments quickly, even if it's just to the academy coaching staff.
Some of the staff who worked for Frank might go to work for him but not until he (Frank) has another employer who will pay them. In the meantime they will stay put.
I also know that some scouts work on an ad hoc basis. One week we might ask them to have a look at somebody; the next week the scout will be asked by another club to have a look at a different player. Or a scout might be sent to look at a striker by one club, but while doing it, he spots goalkeeper who he thinks another club might be interested in. All this at a low level of course and not at a level of someone who might step into the Director role.
Scouting is a very fluid process.
It has also just occurred to me that Johnny Metgod might have stepped into the role>
I think Johnny Metgod had this role at a Dutch club? Could he even throw his clogs into the ring for the manager’s role? His finger swinging goal celebration would be worth the admission fee alone!
You wouldn't be likely to see it too often though, Will.
Another good left field shout is Nathan Jones and Paul Hart who are storming Lge 2 with Luton. Saw it in the local Eastwood paper. Could be an under the radar move that combines youth and experience. Would also be a welcome return for Harty to the CG.
Article also points out that Forest have generally down better when they haven’t gone for the name -Hart, Charlie and Frank and O’Driscoll being good examples of when Forest went with potential over reputation and it worked out well in terms of entertaining football. For that reason, I would be happy if Karanka isn’t the preferred option and the owners look wider.
*Done better. They went down better with the likes of Megson and Atkinson!
Sorry for you troubles Red Dogs. One thing is certain. You will come out the other end. It cannot go on like this forever.
What comes out the other end and Forest have always been pretty much synonymous.
The end with all the trophies, yes.
Arsenal playing Forest in the t’urd round. Just seems perfect somehow.
