I understand that but wasn't this article about Gerrard? It's not really been about Gerrard since the first page. It's genuinely getting hard to find an article, which starts with the best of intentions, without page upon page of smileys that are directed at other members. The attention span here is lower than back at the BBC.

I think me, and Doovde noticed a Gerrard fanboy and tried to get a bite! and he declined!

Gerrard is a good player, but my honest opinion of him is that his best years are well behind him, like Lampard he will never be the player he once was, and should only be used as a deep playmaker

In past weeks the debate articles have become some what depleted and the majority of articles are just who can talk the biggest load of B*llocks. I wouldn't mind if there was an even mix and I wouldn't even view articles I wasn't interested but most of the articles descend in to nonsense. An example was the Modric vs Tom Carroll article yesterday. Fair enough you like a laugh and so do I but surely the purpose of this site is to talk football.

Spot on. I think they all think we're boring but that doesn't bother me, they can think what they want. Like you say, we all like a laugh but humour isn't really all that clever and it would be nice to strike a balance as you say.

Well, it's sad but I can see a few more members joining squid in leaving this site. I hate the layout of all other sites but if the quality of posts doesn't improve then I can definitely see people leaving.
