I hope that this ultimately comes to nothing.
Firstly, Con number 1; if the answer is yes then that pretty much settles it.
Secondly, GR has connections to derby, both personal and professional. Hopefully these hold some sway.
Thirdly, I like to think he has engendered a good team spirit, sees at least some of them as 'his' players now, and wants to see it through.
Not really taking anything for granted yet though.
Now this is an Article. Just the sort of thing we are looking for. Take heed Comment Merchants
The biggest worry is how much faith Rowett has in Mel Morris. Mel talks a good talk but his track record is hardly reassuring to a manager thinking about the long term.
A valid concern. Maybe they enjoy a better relationship than previous managers, maybe Mel has chilled out somewhat and learned from past mistakes.
If GR is self assured enough to think he could take that Stoke squad and rescue it, then surely he must think he can do a job with ours. And if he does, the potential for a P45 from us is unlikely anyway
Where would Rowett be more likely to be playing Premier League football next season? Derby are currently 26/19 for promotion whereas Stoke are 2 to 1 for relegation. That gives a slight advantage to Stoke. Next couple of games could switch that round if we beat Brum and Brizzle so I suspect Gary will be staying.

Noted, and excellently written to boot
Vidal has forged into an early lead and it's going to take some pulling back !
I'm hoping this is just a case of mass hysteria, with no substance to it.
Didn't sleep too well last night, though, worrying about it
That's me done for the year, article wise. It's quite exhausting. Still likely to be ahead of the current and previous PoTY by the time of next year's awards ceremony though.
In terms of numbers of articles I mean. Obviously in all aspects of commentary I could not hope to come close.
Martin O'Neill also in the running supposedly, think he would get the nod over Rowett anyway
All depends what sort of person they are looking for Fridgey. Usually in this situation chairmen want the tried and tested and not some young guy on his way up in the game.
I almost wrote an article on this yesterday an hour or so after Hughes was sacked but when I checked the bookies odds Rowett wasn’t in the running.
What a difference a day makes. I just hope whatever happens it’s done and dusted in a week and Stoke don’t appoint an interim manager til the end of the season.
Yeah, right, Rameses.
Comment merchant.
Nearly writing an article. I could have done that!
Nearly writing an article is not something to rush into, Heb. You need to work up to it gradually.

Be careful, Heb. We really need a Masterclass from Vidal first.
I know GR is annoyed with the criticism he get from some do called Derby fans. He can’t understand when we are 2nd why so many are moaning.
Wait until he hears the Stokies then Griff!

And now you're in the pack, with the rest of us, eating Vidal's dust
I've only ever really known one Stookie, but he was a real miserable fecker !
I'm still persevering with the comment route, by the way
There’s some so called fans moaning about the performance at Man U on Friday.

I'm too busy composing an Article. It will be about potential transfers and the need for a box to box midfielder. Whatever that is

Griff. During our Premiership "campaign" the Derby fans were universally applauded for stoicism. What has changed?
