75 mill VVD that's big spending
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not when it's been funded by the sale of our best player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
who wanted out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well maybe if we shown some ambition he wouldn't have wanted out in the first place. We didn't constantly lose all our best players in the 80's did we?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s nonsense and you know it. Since he started showing his real form, normal fans acknowledged it was only a matter of time before Barca came calling, and he was never going to turn them down.

FSG highlights.

1. Breaking our transfer record 3 times (Andy Carroll, Naby Keita, Virgil Van Dijk).
2. Signing the most expensive defender of all time (VVD).
3. Signing the most expensive African player of all time (Mane).
4. Signing another player to become the most expensive African player of all time (Salah).
5. Signing a third player to become the most expensive African player of all time (Keita).
6. Spent £114 redeveloping Anfield.
7. Brought in Jurgen Klopp (currently the 8th highest paid football manager on the planet) who has returned us to the Champions League and is on course to do this again.

And lastly, saved our club from the financial oblivion caused by Hicks and Gillet.

It's thanks to FSG that we have a club.

So what was the excuse for losing Sterling and Torres? Both made it clear how much they loved the club and would have stayed for life, but we shown no intent to match their ambitions so they had to find clubs that did.

That's all well and good but did they show enough ambition when doing all these things?

Were you expecting them to be criticised before they made it clear what they really were then?

Ah, the old loved the club dit Sterling had a terwatt of an agent who clearly made his decisions for him. As for Torres, he more than proved that it was an excellent decision to let him go.....

It was pretty obvious they weren't good for the club although admittedly i didn't think they were trying to cease our existence.

But that's the point, it took owners to that extreme for the fanbase to grow some balls and stand up to them, we could have Mike Ashley and you would probably defend him passionately as well.

Well he did, because we wasted the money we got on him on Andy Carroll, then spend the whole summer signing mid table journeyman.

Someone's just defended FSG on the basis they "gave us Mrs Henry". If that's the basis on what is a good owner these days then yes we should just turn Anfield into Ann Summers.
