A write-off ?? Absolutely not. We're in a very decent position. Not our fault that arguably the greatest ever PL side is running away with the title this season.

The club's transfer business stinks though, but that's nothing new. As I said in another article we desperately need to bring in another goalscorer this window. Won't happen though.

You haven't been good by all accounts.

Some good performances, a couple of very good performances mixed up with some poor ones.

Don't look close to the level of last season and that is due to the new signings not being as good as the players they replaced

Lol beat me to it, most the negativity on these boards in from Mons. Irony realy is lost on him .

We lose to barca then for me yes it's a bit of a cruise season after that if we are still a few points clear in the top 4.

league titles are my my main goal(or I should say the clubs goals for me) every year

can't say I agree with that anyways.

First PL title, we won it the year after

Third PL title we finished second

And this season man city are having a record breaking year.

It was only really once that we had a mare

Fair enough, but I don't think buy this second season syndrome stuff to be honest. As things stand we're having a decent season. We're still in all the cups, including the League Cup semifinal as well as a very tasty tie with Barcelona to look forward to.

Nobody apart from City was going to win the title this season no matter how well they played so all in all at this point we're in a very respectable position with three trophies still to play for.

Just a shame that the club aren't as good as they should be in the transfer window as we're desperately in need of another goalscorer this window to mount a realistic challenge on those three trophies.

I think it's more derived from the manner in which you guys dominate in every first season with every manager and then cracks just start appearing for no reason in the second season.

There's just always something that shifts the morale or momentum you'd expect a side like Chelsea to maintain.

I'm with Nick on this one.

I think it genuinely is just really hard to win back to back PL titles because there are so many external factors that have to play on your side (player happiness, injuries, LUCK, European draws & football, etc.

That being said the Chelsea camp does seem a little uneasy at the moment, but on the pitch it has only affected it on an attacking/goal scoring POV.

Don't think it has affected us on the pitch at all. We're lacking in attack and goal scoring for the simple reason that we lack top class, goal scoring players.

Batshuayi doesn't ever play so basically we have just one striker in the entire squad in Morata who is still adapting to the PL. After that we have a lack of regular goalscoring midfielders, even Hazard's goalscoring stats are nothing to write home about.

I meant in the sense that the only notable drop in performance in this Chelsea team is in the attack.

Well imo hazard has been better than last year. Morata is still bedding in and pedro and willian are playing less. Have to agree with superb on this one. Think we are just not very good up front.

Didn't you play 3-4-3 most of last season and 3-5-2 most of this? If so, why is Conte so reluctant to try to play like last year with the simple switch of Morata for Costa? Or is Bakayoko for Matic the main reason you can't play the same way?
