Somewhat surprisingly, United are now in pole position to sign him because they've offered him a lucrative wage packet and Alexis has allegedly had his head turned by it.
We're also interested in taking Mkhitaryan in return.
I'm not going to lie, I didn't see this occurring purely because he seemed adamant on joining City. But I guess money talks.
Even if we get Mhiktaryan, he's not going to replace what Alexis gave us so we'd still be downgrading either way.
Can't believe United could very well be taking our best player from us. Again.
What a sorry state of affairs.

Taking your best world-class player is one thing but then giving you one of their rubbish rejects in return (probably at an overhiked price too) would really be rubbing salt in the wounds.
Damn. At only 8 points ahead, United are more your rivals than this City team you were going to sell to.
Why the feck would he want to join Utd a team battling for the top 4 like us?

As I said, money talks. If his head has been turned by how much United are offering him, it must be significantly more than what City were willing to offer.

True. He wants to go to a team that won the two trophies you're going for this season.

Arsenal are pathetic. No point attacking Alexis. It's the club that has been awful and deserves all the boos
I’m sure he would go to City given the choice.
The fact he is willing to go to United rather than wait for the City in the Summer shows how desperate he is to get out of this shiiiit club
Sorry state of affairs.Don't know anything about this Malcom player. Is he any good. What I do know is that he is 5' 7" tall. Another powerful good in the air player coming our way. Please tell me he's fast and can score goals.
Depending on the fee (could be as much as £30M + Mkhi) then I'd say it's good business. Let's be honest Alexis isn't going to perform for the rest of the season if we kept him, i don't think Mkhi is that bad a player either and if we get Malcolm then we essentially could be improving rather than getting worse. Sure Alexis at his best is a massive loss, but if we kept him we won't see him at his best as he clearly doesn't want to be here.
Worst part is we are giving him to United that are more of our rivals then City.
If Arsenal get Mkhi he will be more of a replacement for Ozil then Sanchez. Malcom would be replacing Sanchez. Does anyone know how good he is?
Malcom and Mkhi. Could be the name of a US sitcom.
Omitted from squad
, ffs he's in my FF

Clutching here. Mkhi is useless. We turned him down 2 summers ago and I celebrated because of it. He’s living off one good season in his career.
Malcom may or may not be good, don’t know anything about him apart from that lots of clubs were looking at him. Always skeptical about taking players from the French league.
As for Alexis, he hasn’t been at his best yet has still been one of our best players this season. That’s how bad we are. Keeping Alexis at 50% is better than giving him to a club only 8 points ahead of us in the league

9 points if you count our massively superior goal difference that effectively acts as an extra point if we actually level on points.

If he goes to United then you really have to question why he is moving. We were lead to believe he was about wining things but it looks as though its just about the money. You can kind of accept it if he goes to City but United really arent better than us so its got to just be about the money.
