Parker will give AJ a lot of trouble, especially if it goes to the later rounds.
Just hope that AJ loses a bit of the heavy muscle and reduces a bit.
is Parker good enough to cause AJ serious problems >?
AJ has enough punch power to not come in so heavy. If he just sees a size differential and tries to take him out then he could come unstuck. Step up in levels for Parker, interesting to see if he was just doing enough to get the job done in previous bouts.
although he definitely deserved the points decision in his last fight against hughie fury..i wasn't overly impressed with him
Parker is a bum.
He barely caused Fury any trouble. Don’t think he’s got enough power and isn’t ruthless enough to worry AJ.
Probably be pretty dull - AJ on points.

AJ within 4, Parker is woeful
8/15 for 8 or less rounds is basically printing money

Joshua still chinny and can be stopped. Parker probably not good enough in a massively overhyped division.
I've only seen Parker fight once - the Fury bout. I'd say if he doesn't raise his game from that performance then he's in serious trouble.
I read that McCracken is adamant that AJ needs to cut back on his weight work and come in much lighter than recent fights (target of 17 stone 10). Good to hear.
Perhaps I'm underestimating Parker on the basis of what I consider to be a workmanlike and uninspiring performance against Fury.... but I'd say AJ in 5.

Exciting fight. World titles on the line from both sides which is great. It won't go the distance. AJ should win this being the bigger man but in HW boxing anything can happen.

I think it would be more appropriate if you based your approximation of Parker's chances in this fight off of more than one fight. I'd recommend watching his last 5-6 and then also how his style matches up with AJ
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah it would, which is why I qualified my comment and conceded I may be underestimating Parker on that performance.
To me Parker looked cumbersome and even though he was aggressive in much of his work, he wasn't clean. Now I appreciate that was against an opponent who had a strategy to fight off the back foot and counter, a strategy AJ certainly won't be employing. However, if AJ remains light and nimble (relatively speaking) then Parker has a couple of choices; trade with him (inadvisable), counter or outbox him.
Perhaps your point is that he's successful fought off the back foot in the past or that he has skill that I've not witnessed. But neither his hand nor foot speed looked impressive (again, relatively speaking) to me.
Your point is taken though and I'll probably watch a bit more of Parker as the fight approaches.
I was very impressed with Parker up until two fights ago... the Razvan Cojanu fight was disapointing, the vs Hughie Fury I just didn't see anything that I had seen a couple of years ago, though I put that down to the fact that he didn't really have to bring his a game
Looks like Price Povetkin undercard. Tasty
However i read fury had to fight povetkin (only top 5 fighter available) by april or he gets stripped of ring belt?

The term British Horizontal Heavyweight was made for Price. You cannot train two things leading up to a fight, the chin and the heart and that Scouse lump has lacked both too often.

David Price
remember when people were thinking he'd be the next heavyweight superchamp ?
and then those 2 loses to fat 40yr old Tony Thompson exposed him
I actually think his problem is an incredible lack of stamina rather than a v suspect chin
Never seen a bloke who looks in such good shape gas so quickly as Price....Often wonder if he has a medical condition or at least a major genetic predisposition to running out of energy quickly
Joshua close to angry

Parker isn't very good. However, AJ is not this 'elite' fighter either.
