Didn’t go last night but in his two sub appearances before that I think Mir showed plenty of promise. To say he has been a huge disappointment so far because of one away game at a Premier League team in poor conditions is extremely unfair and I would say untrue.
Jota after a wee rest was our most dangerous forward at Barnsley and was evidently excellent last night. We always look a better team when Bonatini is playing and he offers much more than just goals. Cavaleiro has done really well as an impact player and is at his best playing full blast for 30 minutes. The only forward I would be critical of at the moment is Costa who has shown signs of last season’s form but at the moment needs to offer a lot more.
Another striker would always be nice and good to see us linked with Maddison of Norwich who looks a top prospect as a number 10.
We are generally a defensive team with three centre backs, two overlapping full backs and two deep lying midfield players and I think so far our forwards have done remarkably well to make us such a threat as an attacking team

DJ I perhaps shouldn't have used the word 'huge' but Mir was certainly a disappointment last night. He offered nothing in way of a goal threat and failed to hold the ball up as well. I'm sure the weather and the saturated pitch played it's part in that and I wouldn't mind betting that young Rafa has never played in worse conditions. Eno was also fairly ineffectual again so the pressure was very much on Costa who made a few good runs and did his best.
Swapping Eno for Jota undoubtedly had the greatest impact on the game and as you rightly say Leo offers more than goals. He holds the ball up well and brings others into play but he does need to find his shooting boots again. I think his goal drought is a temporary blip, I certainly hope so.

As with most clubs Wolves have fielded much changed teams in the cup competition but I don’t think in any way that represents an objective to lose. I think the cups give a good opportunity for fringe players to get competitive games and I am sure Nuno and those players would have liked the cup runs to continue
Can't say I am the slightest bit concerned given we need about 8 wins from 19 remaining games and have a shed load of quality players.
Mir is a young lad leaving his home for the first time and rocking up in Wolverhampton, that's enough to knock anyone out of their stride at 19, he will settle down once he hits the back of the net.

It is a good feeling. I always felt good about buying match tickets for home games. Makes me feel like a proper "supporter" instead of just an interested "fan"

a lot of spoilt brat who asks for an ice cream and then stamps their feet because they dont get chocolate.
we twice sent out an understrength team because we didnt want to be tied down and risk player injury in this competition.
we got the gentlest possible defeat, an away replay by the odd goal
objective achieved - so shut the fook up.

Can't say i care too much, we should have done the job in the first match with a stronger side rather drag it over two games with bits and pieces sides

We did enough to win in the first game, and i was there making an effort to support the team, rather than sniping from the sidelines from afar.
Easy not to care when you're on another continent.
