Manur e! How original! Have you considered doing stand up?
Not fussed about losing Sanchez, his wage demands aren't worth matching for us
Failing to replace him however is a disgrace
Is there an Arsenal sale in January?
Youre right, arsenal will never pay a player half of 500k, because Arsenal will never, ever, be an elite club

Not even City, a bigger club than United, will pay Sanchez 500k a week. United aren't elite, just desperate.
City have a wage structure we wouldn’t break for Sanchez.
I’m sure a big signing in the summer will coming my money is on Dybala

If you don't move with the market, you get left behind.
You have lost many more players to wages over the past 10/15 years, starting way back with Overmars, Henry, Flamini, Hleb etc. Then City have had Nasri, Sagna, Toure, Adebeyour, Clichy. So why pick on the RVP transfer?
All sales before 2012 was with a different ownership and was done to help manage the enormous stadium debt. After 2012 Arsenal have multi-billionaire owners. The spending and sales are down to him and nothing to do with competing on wages. Wenger has a convenient excuse of not being able to compete. He uses it lower expectations so that he is not fired.
Bit strange of comment. Every clubs loses players but it is not always due to wages.
Was Ronaldo, Di-Maria or RVN money related?
Sometime clubs are happy to let a player move, especially if there are not wanted anymore and can generate revenue. In the City case, apart from Nasri I'm sure the club was not upset to lose any of the mentioned above.
getting rid of your best player again(yes he is despite your denials) to us points to a sad state of affairs at arsenal, your new stadium was supposed to mean these types of things don't happen, his contract should have sorted 12-18 months ago like most players who are the top performers for their teams
The problems with contracts arise because Wenger was in charge of them till very recently. He actually believes that players are more motivated to perform if they have short contracts. Which is why the new director of football described Arsenal wage policy as antiquated.
Fans from other teams don't understand Arsenal because frankly no other club is run by giving the manager so much power. Fergie never had as much power as Wenger.

Where did this reason feature in anything AW said on the subject, OP?

But not wages and that was quickly done with when his son got involved in all that controversy.
