Remember pundits trolling Man Utd as Sanchez was going to Man City only like a week ago

You were willing to pay £60m for him and pay him 300k 5 months ago. That's not exactly peanuts is it?

Were getting him for a player swap and 400k a week. However our wage to turnover ratio is still better than yours. Just shows how much bigger we truly are.

Never willing to pay him 300k

Thought Paul Power was right about Newcastle parking the bus when he spoke at half time. Must be something about having ' United' in the club name. Sanchez as a swop for Sergio? Not in a hundred years.

City unwilling to make him our highest paid player.

And se85 thinks we offered 300k pw

United will probably buy Mkhitaryan back for £75m if he has a good season at Arsenal.

They are where we were in the Welcome to Manchester days. Splurging to cstch up.

Sergio has now scored 191 goals for City.

Not bad for a player who was 'overpriced' at £27m.

I know he had a good game and all but it was funny he ended up with hat-trick. It was like the minimum a player needed to do to get one.

Aguero cost about £31.5m or something like that. I remember Schweinsteiger actually cost us £6.5m and Depay cost us like £19m. So many figures are completely wrong.

2 more seasons and he breaks Shearer's record. Then takes his place on MOTD. Oh, I wish.

posted on 21/1/18

Aguero is nowhere near Shearer goalscoring record in premierleague though. Need another 123 goals to break it. Rooney is the closest.

Aguero won't break it. He'd be lucky to score over 25 goals in a season again, and he'd need to do that for 5 seasons at age 29. Doubt he'll even stay at City that long.

Got to hand it to Shearer, he's as dull as ditchwater but was a phenomenal goal scorer.

I always thought of Shearer as one of those legendary players it’d be great to find yourself sat next to at a bar.

His first appearances on MOTD were a reality check

Shearer spent his whole career in the Prem, Kane is the only player likely to beat his goal scoring record.

Not even his whole career. First few seasons were in the first division before it became the PL, which would add 23 more goals to his record.

Cannot believe some people wanted him gone so you could have Sanchez, aguero is one of the two best strikers to play in the premier league.

If this means they keep aguero now they have the better deal.

posted on 21/1/18

I don't know a single person who wanted Sanchez to replace Aguero.

There was talk of how the 2 could play together though.
