Everton 1 - 2 Chelsea
Sterling (Parejo) ; Neymar (Mbappe), Aguero (Sandro)

The away side just had too much in attack in the end. The home side were strong defensively which, with great pace and skill going forward they gave the Chelsea defenders a torrid time. Everton had a good balance but for me could've done with a little more attacking nous from a cm to break between the lines. Chelsea's quality in midfield gave them the upper hand as they controlled possession, more chances with it, and their forwards don't mess about.

Arsenal v Birmingham

A big game where both sides were looking to turn around recent form and propel themselves up the table. It was the visitors who came out on the front foot with the pace and movement of the Birmingham attack causing real problems for the Arsenal defence. The home side controlled possession in the middle of the park however they were put under intense pressure by the visitors which ultimately led to the opener. Alli winning the ball high up the pitch and playing a perfectly weighted through ball, dissecting the Arsenal defence as Vardy raced in behind to fire past Leno and give his side the lead. Arsenal roared on by their home support upped their intensity to match the visitors and soon found themselves level as their control in the middle of the park began to pay off, Goretzka skipping past the challenge of Dembele before firing home the equaliser. With the game level going into the final 10 minutes both sides pushed for the winner and there was to be late drama as it came at the death. Alonso pushing forward from LB was dispossessed by Valencia who in turn played a quick ball into James who had taken up a central position. He had the vision and precision to play in Costa who accelerated into the open space and coolly slotted home the winner, much to the delight of the adoring home fans.

Arsenal 2-1 Birmingham
Goretzka (Llorente, 33) Costa (James, 92)
Vardy (Alli, 24)

Spurs v Portsmouth

Two very strong sides going at today, from the off you could see both teams desperate for all three points, Spurs went close early on but Ederson pulled off a fantastic save from Icardi, the game went too and fro and chances fell for both sides, however both keepers were in great form, it took until the 68th minute to break the deadlock, Ashley Youngs pin point cross saw Icardi nip in and volley home low into the corner, still tho both teams went for it and Portsmouth got their reward when alkl 3 subs linked for the equaliser, Walker to Sanchez and back to Walker, he drilled in a low cross and Timo Werner was there to blast home, a fair result but not what either was looking for

Spurs 1 - 1 Portsmouth
Icardi(Young,68)
Werner(Walker, 79)
MOTM - Ederson, just pipping Navas
