Made the gf watch Reservoir Dogs last night as she’s never seen it!!!

I must be a robb on this, going against the general grain, but aside dusk til dawn and it’s (fairly well done) blindsight flip, tarrantino’s films haven’t done a lot for me. Loved the ordering of pulp function, but highly overrated. Resovoir dogs, aside it’s colour named villains wasn’t that great either.

I need to revisit and see if my perception held true. Found the hateful eigh boring, dialog heavy and django unchained little better..

That's because Hateful 8 is boring. Also didn't find Django much better either, but I do love Res Dogs, Pulp Fiction and the 2 Kill Bill's.
True Romance is still a huge favourite of mine (though again Tarantino wrote it but didn't direct)

im the complete opposite, I found hatefull 8, django really good and didn't really think much of kill bill or res dogs

I actually agree - his work does very little for me either. They can be entertaining, but I would not call anything he has made a masterpiece.

Inglorious would be my favourite, has some really memorable scenes.

i found the hateful 8 a bit of a throwaway film 6.5/10 and Django 8/10

Yeah actually preferred inglorious to pulp fiction or resovior. Pulp fiction felt too try hard, though it was inventive and resovoir always felt a bit off. All that Le Big Mac stuff was overrated.

There is no hype around Tarantino. It's not something new and everyone is talking about it. His movies are proven great pieces of film. Himself a great filmmaker. He has a passion for it and every shot has an energy and originality to it while still giving nods (obvious ones) to his influences.

Fair enough not everyone likes it but the guy is a legend. Even though he's a bit of a creep now and looks like Frankenstein's monster with long hair.

Each to their own, and don’t doubt his skill or credentials, just that they by and large don’t really work for me. And some other it seems.

Still to see Jackie Brown!

Pulp fiction is obviously the best and hateful 8 the worst
